Fall discounts

Any rumors of fall discounts coming out soon? I would have thought we'd see them by now...

I have not seen any. Received my "Disney Hello" email yesterday and usually that contains any promotions and there were none listed this time. I remember in 2009 when we went also in October, the promo came out Aug 1st although that was in different economic conditions than now.

I received a Disney Visa discount a while ago, but it wasn't a very good deal. I've heard (though this is totally rumor) that they aren't doing any big discounts this fall, because with Cars Land and the new DCA, people are flocking to the parks. It seems like they aren't having any trouble filling rooms. I called a while ago for my dates in October, and all the standard rooms at PPH and DLH were booked. Only concierge and theme-park view rooms were available, and I'm sure those will be filling up soon, too.

I hope you do get a discount! We decided to stay off property (FFI) this trip, so that is always an option as well!

We got tired of waiting for a fall hotel deal and decided to move our dates up so we could take advantage of the Gay Days hotel deal. Now we're going concierge at DLH and saving a ton of $$!

I've received two PIN offers via email for up to 25% off through Sept 29 (I know some others have, too). The emails seem to be directed at people who have stayed on-property before, versus those who have saved offers on the website. I stayed at GCH in February.

Of course, I'm hoping to go in early December, so this doesn't help me at all!

My wife got a pin last year...hopefully we get another one this year at this rate :/. I wish the gay days weekend was an option, but that weekend is already occupied with something far less festive.
