FALL discount rumor - BIG announcement Sunday???

It was brought to our attention over on the October 2011 Code Watch thread by im4kycats that Dad's Guide to WDW had a "tease" in response to a question about going in either October or November:

"PS. Wait until the BIG announcement Sunday to book your trip. It will be worth it."

I'm hoping as well. Not getting my hopes up though, that way I, hopefully , won't be disappointed.

Question though, because I've never used any of the big GP offers, does the announcement mean they will tell about it tomorrow & it would be bookable tomorrow? Or is it generally tell about the day before, codes & bookings begin the following day? ie, know about it tomorrow but not be bookable until Monday? Need to know which day I need to get up at 6:30am to be awake & ready to call at 7am, lol!

Are Disney's announcements for GP offers generally announced in the afternoon?? I've never been this invested in an offer before, lol!

10% is beyond lousy... it's offensive. It doesn't even cover tax! Those discounts are the ones I call "don't spit on me and tell me it's raining" or "don't give me less than 20% and tell me it's a discount".

I had the same thoghts, it sounds to me like it's a big announcement about his site Hopefully it is a discount and we were just taking it the wrong way

He is putting it in his newsletter? That wouldn't be a discount announcement IMHO. I don't think this is what people are thinking it is. Look at this quote:

"Dad has been working real hard all day, every day, to get everything all set up. (It’s about time for Dad to take a vacation.) It’s all starting to come together. I can’t give you any details, but everything is on track for Sunday."

He delayed the announcement once apparently, and he is doing a lot of work on it, so I don't think this has anything to do with a discount. Sorry.

I don't know. The more I'm looking at his blog posts & his FB page, the more I think it's just an announcement for his pages. He keeps talking about this announcement when people ask him questions about booking & going in Oct., Nov. or Dec. But when someone asked why he thought they haven't releaed discounts for Nov., he tells them the lack of offers for fall/winter confuse him as well.
He was also supposed to make this announcement a few days ago but wasn't ready yet so he postponed it.

I hope I'm wrong, but those details tanked my hope of it being anything more than his site doing something big for people who book thru him.
