Fall discount question

I see on the boards that during the fall Disney offers a free dining plan. But from what I understand, you would need to book a room AND tickets. Unfortunately, I bought my tickets through undercover tourist about a month ago before I booked my room. So, I assume I can't get the free dining plan. But, Would Disney offer something else like 20% off rooms or something?

There is usually some form of percent-off discount. As with other discounts, availability and dates may be limited, and it's not universal to any room, any resort.

Well, I'll be there in Sept, so hopefully I'll get something good.

It is my understanding from having purchased UT tickets in the past that they are returnable if unopened, as they require that you buy tickets along with the room to get free dining. One of the recent FD promos required you to buy park hopper tickets, rather than the one park each day ticket.

Perhaps wait until any discount is announced then calculate if room discount (using the tickets you already have) or free dining would be better a better deal.

Well, I was figuring all the meals I would eat that would be included with the plan and added up the prices. So, as long as I could get at least 15% off the room, I should come out ahead.

There's a lot of MNSSHP in September discount may be scarce. And 15% off even the most expensive room won't come close to what meals cost nowadays if you're bringing a family.
