Fall Dining Reviews - Updated 12/29

Even though I got these at Landscape of Flavors, it is a Babycakes product.

Brownie Bite Cupcakes. These were great! I believe I got these as my dessert every time I ate at Landscape of Flavors, and I would keep them in the fridge in my room every time I wanted something a little sweet. I love how these are becoming more widely available across Disney property.

One thing I really like about Sunshine Seasons is the abundance of vegetarian options they have available.

This was a rather new option, it was Gardein "chicken" with Asian noodles and sauce. The sauce on the chicken I didn't really care for, it was a little too vinegary. Though I don't rely on faux meats a lot at home, Gardein is one of the brands I do use on occasion, so I was happy with that. The noodles were good too, they were coated with a different sauce than the chicken was.

For dessert with my meal I had fruit. And for breakfast I had fruit from Landscape of Flavors, which I didn't review, but they had make-your-own fruit cups. I also had fruit for dessert later that evening. I don't mind having fruit as a dessert, especially considering I'm not used to dessert after every meal, but constantly having fruit as my only option sometimes got boring quickly.

 When I first opened this thread, I was all, "Wait, what? 2012???" But that's so cool that you would come back and try to finish your DR once you had a new computer. :thumbsup2

I am happy to report that the CP chef is still making the flourless brownie cake. I am gluten-free, and he provided me with a great meal in August at CP! That is one of the best buffets on property, I think, for those with dining restrictions. (Tusker House may be the BEST though.)

Anyway, I will be following along! :thumbsup2

Tusker House is another favorite of mine too! :goodvibes

Let me start off by saying I had eaten dinner at Kouzzina twice before this, and neither time before had I eaten vegan, or even vegetarian. Those two meals were both very good and has made Kouzzina an almost must-do for me. This meal just didn't wow me, the food wasn't bad, but I was underwhelmed. My fondest memory of the meal is that the couple at the table next to me were from around the same area as me, and we had struck up a conversation about our sports teams.

This is a modified version of the roasted vegetables and orzo. The vegetables I believe are the same, but they subbed potatoes for me instead of orzo. It was good, well seasoned, the vegetables were fresh, etc, I can't fault the dish. I think it was just too similar to the other meals I'd eaten the past couple of days for me to be that crazy about it.

Dessert was fruit that I didn't bother to take a picture of.

Kouzzina is back on my list for next year, but I think I'll be eating seafood then, so I'm hoping for a more impressive meal.

I know it's basically a chain restaurant, but I really like Yak and Yeti. I love Asian food though, and my favorite chain restaurant at home is PF Changs, which I find Yak and Yeti very similar to.

This meal is vegetarian, but not vegan.

This is the vegetable lo mein with tofu.

It was a very tasty huge portion, with lots of veggies and tofu. I could've probably eaten this every day I was there and been happy. There was egg or something in the noodles making it not vegan.

The sorbets. I've had them before, and they're good. Very refreshing.

I have Yak and Yeti back on my list for next year as well. Despite it's lack of table service options Animal Kingdom is home to two of my favorite casual table service restaurants on property. (The other being Tusker House, but I'll get to that review later.)

I have wanted to try Baby Cakes my last two trips but I don't know where it is. After those pictures I am determined to find it this trip :)

It's in Downtown Disney, in the same building as Pollo Campero (sp?) and Bodie's. I don't thinrk it's location is advertised very well.

I had a late dinner at Boma, which included fish and a lot of dairy.

I always like to sample a lot at Boma. In the first picture is a bowl of butternut squash soup. In the second picture of crab soup. They changed the crab soup! It used to be creamy rich deliciousness, but now it's a salty mess. Also pictured is hummus, bean dishes, pasta, salmon, mashed sweet potatoes, and some veggie dishes.

Food at Boma is always really good, and I'll continue returning there on future trips, though the buffets are getting ridiculously expensive.

The peanut butter tarts, which there are two pictured, are my current favorite dessert at Boma. I'm not entirely show what the other three desserts are, but the peanut butter ones are the only dessert there that I think are really good.

A doughnut and slice of pumpkin-chocolate chip loaf. I really love the pumpkin loaf, but I love anything pumpkin. The doughnut was good.

This was a special that day. A slice of a full celebration cake. I thought this was really good.

I had this booked with the Fantasmic dinner package, so I got an appetizer with my meal.

This was a new item on the menu, mixed greens with tomatoes, cucumbers, and artichokes with red wine vinaigrette. It was good, the veggies were fresh, and I thought the dressing was tasty.

Wild mushroom flatbread. I've gotten this several times. It's roasted mushrooms with garlic, shallots, and balsamic sauce. I love this, and it's worth going to Mama's just for this, and it would make a really reasonable OOP lunch or dinner.

Chocolate cannoli cake with red wine sauce. I usually don't care about the desserts at Mama's, but I thought this was pretty good.

Mama's is a good deal, especially with the appetizer and seating for Fantasmic included.
