I know many are getting their kids ready to go back to school, and college kids ready to move back into their dorms. With Fall just around the corner when do you start Fall cleaning and decorating?

I don't know what "Fall Cleaning" is either
:confused3

I clean my house weekly, the same, year round

I usually put a Fall centerpiece on my coffee table in October

I should probably start my Fall cleaning from 1995 pretty soon...! ;)

Fall decorating starts Sept. 1st. Cleaning? Never heard of it!:rotfl2:

I bought some scented pine cones last night. So it smells like fall in my house right now. :) I dont know when i'll get the fall stuff out.. maybe after school starts and I dont have 4 kids up my butt when I'm doing stuff.. so beginning of sept maybe?

What's fall cleaning?

Yeah..what is fall cleaning? I clean when the house needs it, I don't need a season. Fall is still months away anyhow and my highschooler has a month before school starts.

I do a big clean out in August usually. It is too hot here to do anything outside this time of year, plus once football season hits, that's all we do.

I clean out the closets, make the kids try on their clothes, etc.

I usually think of it as a "Back to School" cleaning and reorganization.

I don't decorate outside for Fall until the beginning of Oct.

I am replacing my outside flowers with Lantana today. The heat has just been merciless on my petunias. They look pitiful.

I get the fall cleaning. I do it when I do my fall decorating. I start decorating for fall/Halloween on the first day of fall (usually towards the end of September, I think). I remove most of my regular decor/knick knacks from places like the entryway tables and shelf as well as the coffee table, guest bathroom, bookcases, and porch. I do a big wipe down of everything, but not deep cleaning like in the spring. I just cleaned the high-traffic areas of my carpet because it will just get worse when the snow starts to fall and the slush and junk comes in. Once that's done, I pull out the decorations and bid farewell to the summer and say hello to the colder days that lie ahead.

I don't do fall cleaning or spring cleaning. I clean nonstop it seems. I am a 24/7 cleaner!

As for decorating, I will start decorating as soon as you see the pumpkins on the side of the road and at Walmart. Then I will buy a few for my front porch steps, and then at that point I break out the rest of my decorations. I don't put up anything overly Halloween-y till the first week of October or so.
