Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

I am an East Coaster who works full time and is an early riser so I am in the minority that likes the change. My FP day is in the middle of the week and I had been wondering if I should take a vacation day.

I think even on Southwest the stewardesses will try to accommodate a family. They will try and sit the whole family together if at all possible. Or split them up, but I'm pretty sure they don't put a child by themselves with strangers.

I was up at 6:00am and got everything I was looking for!!! I also noticed Fantasmic dining packages are now showing up for November but every day and restaurant for the whole month is unavailable so I think maybe the times haven't been loaded in yet. I am glad to have most of my dining set, now I just have to hunt down H&V Fantasmic and Tusker House ROL!:yay:

Thats great. I've been having huge bouts of insomnia. Its a good thing my brother is the one who is doing all the scheduling. Now that Dinasours will be down for refurb while were there looks like AK will only be a two hour park for us. Once in the morning and then again at night, if the night time hours ever get updated for Sept. It looks like they only have night hours till the fourth of july and then back down to closing at 5. Whats up with that.

I had insomnia last night too! I think I was afraid I would sleep through the alarm and nothing would be available. Sooo tired today but worth not having to stalk the cancellation board like I did last time, LOL! I wish they would have the hours finalized for the parks before you have to book ADR's because it's so hard to change a day around if you need to!

I hope so! I booked a 5:30 flight so the kids don't have to miss another day of school since they are already missing 7. Worried I might be pushing it!
Never thought about lights! I know it's September but I may bring my orange Halloween lights!
The last couple of years I've really got into decorating our window. I even have a tote I bring that's full of Halloween items.

We almost always avoid the early magic hours. It's too much stress for us getting to the parks that early. We've also done fewer rope drops as my kids start to get older. They are beginning to like the late park nights now. :thumbsup2
We have always had early breakfast reservations so we haven't got to do many rope drops. Last year we made it to MK as the Welcome Show started, but we were in baggage check so I still missed the show. Definitely still on my list of things to do this trip. The only park we close down is MK. Try to linger as long as we can down Main St.:)

Our first trip to the world was when my grandmunchkin was 7 mos old and hated riding in the car. We had to stop almost every 1/2 to 1 hour, until he fell asleep. So, we traveled hard, until he woke up. Then we were at a snails pace again from Northern Florida.

When it was time to head home we really didn't want to get back in the car. Ever. But we made it and have done other car trips that were much more enjoyable!!

If flights are over $300 each, I would rather drive. My daughter, when I proposed it, looked at me like I had three heads, which were sprouting horns. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for less expensive flights!!!
I'm the only one that gets excited about the drive and no trip is complete without a stop at the Florida Welcome Center. It's taken a couple of years, but I've figured out if we leave at midnight the kids will sleep till about 6 or 7, have breakfast in the car, stop for lunch and we're there by 1 or 2(depending on any traffic or weather issues arising). Plus, leaving at midnight allows us to breeze through Atlanta!!!!!!!

It almost makes you wonder if they'll keep the night time extras or if they will just be a limited time only thing for now.

Yeah its really not fair. Like the restaraunts they close that are seasonal. Hey mix it up. We all go at different times for different reasons. It would be sucky if Disney only did the night time things for the sumer.

glad you got what you wanted. I am hoping for a TH ROL dining package too. one rumor had breakfast included in the dining package which I hope turns out to be true as my family is not going to eat the foods on the menu for lunch and dinner.

That would be great if breakfast was included! My fussy eaters usually find things they like at Dinner but I think they might like breakfast better. I hope they come out with ROL package soon, it would be nice to have ADR's done and concentrate on FP!

I would really love to see the breakfast included because I won't eat the foods for lunch and dinner either!

Hubby's bday is tomorrow....and so is my 180 days and southwest releases flight info.
Poor hubby is going gonna have a crabby tired wife for his bday lol

I have a question.
I pretty much have all we want for dining planned out I just need help with Hollywood and Vine.
My girls want to do Jedi Training so I know I need to run straight there when they open. If we have an 8amish reservation at H&V is that enough time to eat and get in time to Jedi sign ups?
Or should we do Jedi Sign ups then maybe a popular ride then eat breakfast?
How long are you usually in line for sign ups?

I'm so bad at vacation planning lol

Fantasmic packages for November are available now!!!! I just switched my H&V dinner for one with Fantasmic! I have been checking on and off all day since I saw this morning they were up but no times available so I think they must have just loaded times into the system!

Yay CandiceF!!!! I'm so happy you got what you wanted!!! That's awesome!!!! :worship:

As for the wait time to sign up for Jedi training, we went to the sign up area right away and the wait was about 25 min. I was VERY happy we went there immediately, as after we finished signing up, we went to get a snack, then meet the rest of our family at the sign up spot and all the spots were filled. This was only about 15-20 min later.
