Fall 2016 Opens this week PLUS NEW ITINERARY INFO

We've been waiting until these were announced to decide if we are going to keep our OBB or not. Now I am intrigued by the sailing out of New York that coincides with our Fall break and the sailing out of Galveston the week before Christmas. Just going to have to wait to see what the prices are like.

I'm happy/bummed at the same time about the 7 night Thanksgiving sailing on the Magic. Happy that it is 7 nights and in Miami (which is an hour from my house), but not overly thrilled with the itinerary. I'll be pricing that out along with the Fantasy 7 night and B2B on the Dream.

Bree -- right there with you...

Interested in this time of year as well and very curious to see how it all shakes out with pricing...

Any idea where the Wonder is hiding in September/October? Curious...

Interesting the Eastbound Panama for the Wonder is listed under San Diego - May with August in brackets. Anymore info?

2016 NYC Sailings on the Magic

10/2 - 5 night Canadian (Halifax & St. John)
10/07 - 8 night Bahamian (CC, Nassua, Port Canaveral)
10/15, 10/22, 10/29 - 7 night Bahamian (CC, Port Canaveral)
11/5 - 6 night to San Juan (St. Maarten, Tortola, San Juan)

Possible dumb question: are these all round trip cruises? Specifically does the first one, th Canadian cruise, return toNYC? (It would have to to then leave for theBahamas, right?)

Except for the Nov. 5th NYC to San Juan, yes, the rest are round-trip (closed loop) cruises beginning and ending at NYC.

I'm underwhelmed. Living in FL means the NY cruises to the Bahama's and Port Canaveral are just funny. I might have been interested in the Canada sailing, but 5-days is a bit short. The Barcelona - NYC sailing might be of interest though.

My biggest concern is the pricing. Some of the recent Disney "launch" sailings (yes, pun intended) pricing has been very high. High enough for us to say no thanks. I worry that Disney has really overpriced themselves.

Any mention of blocked dates for OBB benefits?

I'm wondering the same thing. There wasn't anything in my TA email. It just had all the sailings. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's was blocked out for 2015.

I agree. It's great their sailing out of NYC, but the itinerary's are just boring. The 5 night cruise interests me because we are from the west coast and I could turn it into a Washington DC, New York trip. My kids haven't been to Northeast yet. I just wish the cruise was a 7 night and included Boston.

If this helps any, here's the thread with the 2012 opening day fares departing from NYC... and we're now 4 years later with solid increases in prices for the standard itineraries, so I wouldn't expect cheap :rolleyes1

The last time they sailed out of NYC it looks like it was the Summer peak season. This time it's the October which is the off season and generally one of the cheapest months to cruise. Hopefully the prices won't be too bad.
