Just wondering how many of you that have applied for Fall 2015 PI's have gotten acceptances yet? My daughter had an Alumni PI phone interview back in February and is still "In Progress" on about 5 of the roles she applied for. Good luck to all.

My daughter also had an alumni PI phone interview about three weeks ago and is still in progress. She also received an email asking for a cover letter and a copy of her transcripts for one that has something to do with animal programs or something like that.

Good luck to your daughter. My daughter went to NLIC on the Alumni PI but is still "In progress" on 4 other PI's.

Thanks for the update. I haven't asked my daughter this week whether or not she has heard anything. These PI's are so hard to get. She has some friends who were highly qualified and even had second interviews and didn't receive an offer. I tell my daughter that if she doesn't get accepted, at least she still has her job at Kilimanjaro Safaris and she still works at WDW!

Yesterday my daughter went NLIC on the animal education PI. Still in progress on the alumni ones. She wasn't surprised as she is not an education major. Took the wind out of her sails a little She said it's not looking good.

It is very hard to get into some of the PI's. Some have only 1 or 2 openings (naturally some of the ones my daughter is still "In progress" on). My older daughter did 2 PI's without having done a CP but they were in engineering which is a totally different ball game. One of the other threads said people should be hearing by mid to late April. Again, good luck to your daughter carol-lamb.

I was asked to have a 'callback' for the aquarium professional internship. Does anyone know what that means?

After you submitted your application, did you receive an email requesting you to forward a cover letter and college transcript? If so, I'm guessing they liked what they saw and are interested in talking to you.

My daughter might have applied for the same internship or something similar because she said a possible placement would be the Living Seas. They did ask for the additional documents and a couple weeks after she went NLIC. She felt they were probably looking for an education major which she is not.

Good luck!!

Good luck to your daughter too! I actually won't be that upset if she doesn't get an offer. I told her I think she should just stay at safaris when she moves down after graduation and apply for part time. At least she has her job. I know of people who were cut loose after their PI because there wasn't anything available and then were forced to go to casting and take whatever job they were offered (PI in guest relations and when done could only get a job in merchandise). I think my daughter's job at safaris is pretty cool!

I applied, got an email to complete a 'short questionnaire' with things such as 'can you lift 50 lbs' and 'are you scuba certified', then I was asked to interview. I had a decent webcam interview with the curators of the living seas, then a few weeks later I get a 'Callback' (scheduled for next week). I did some digging online and a few PI alumni blogs say that the callback means an offer. The marine biology/aquarium PI is one that I cant find any concrete testimonials on the internet for, and I was wondering if anyone knew what a call back meant?

Oh wow - that sounds great! That is something totally than what my daughter applied for. Post next week after your call back to let us know how it went.

Hi.
New here, and just wanted to chime in. A callback is likely an offer, so congratulations to you! I was actually just offered a PI a week ago, then got the actual confirmation today. It took a little while due to a slight mess up somewhere down the road. I'll likely get the offer email sometime tomorrow, and am so excited! If you have any questions about what to look for, expect, etc...let me know & I'll try to help you the best I can!
Congrats & good luck to everyone!

Hello! I said I'd give an update on my callback. It was definitely an offer! Super exciting. I already accepted it, I'll be a professional intern for the aquarium at the living seas. My check in date is June 10th.

I was hoping to get a PI, though I was accepted into the college program. Im still in progress for two PI's, but havent received an interview for either and I fear we're nearing the end of the possibilities.

Does anyone know if the dates are the same for the PI's as the CP's? I know ive been reading that april 20th is the cut off date for the CP hopefuls to hear back anything. I suppose Ill just keep my fingers crossed. A PI would help me much more than a CP, though I would love to simply go through the experience of working for Disney either way.

I got contacted yesterday for a second interview so it's definitely not over yet. It seems to depend on greatly on what department your internship with be with as to the timeframe of the decision. I was told on the first interview that decisions are typically made by the end of April. My interview isn't going to be until early May so I don't think there's any hard cut off. It just varies.

My daughter received her email yesterday that she is not being offered an alumni PI. She had her interview almost two months ago. She's disappointed a little but it's not the end of the world for her because she is already a cast member and is moving down after she graduates in May.
