Hey everybody! I recently completed the phone interview for the Disney College Program for Fall 2014 on 3/14 and I have a few questions for people who have been in the college program or have recently been accepted because I am extremely worried when I see people who have already been accepted in a day. My interview went absolutely fantastic and I could not have asked for it to go any better than it did. I had told my interviewer that I wanted to be in the college program because it has always been my dream to have a career with Walt Disney Imagineering and that by being in the college program I would learn and become more familiar with guests' expectations from a cast member point of view and be able to take this experience and apply what I have learned down the road to create magical experiences for guests. I applied for attractions, concierge, and merchandise in that order of preference and discussed QSFB. The interviewer was so impressed with my passion for the Disney Parks and Imagineering as well as my knowledge of Disney Parks. I was actually told that the way I would handle the different scenarios were perfect answers which I'm sure they might tell everybody this just to be nice, but I feel mine was genuine. My interviewer and I talked as if we were energetic close friends talking about our love and passion for the Disney Parks and guests and I don't know if this is something Disney looks for or not. Based on what I have said so far could anybody let me know if they think this sounds like it would point to a decision of accepted? Thank you so much!

My daughter also thought her interview went well and it took two weeks for her to be accepted (she was accepted last Thursday and will be in attractions). Hopefully it won't take two weeks for you but I didn't want you to give up hope just because you see some people on this board accepted the day after they interview.

Hi there, I applied to the DCP on February 6th, had my phone interview on February 13th, and was accepted for Fall Attractions on February 27th.
The process is different for everyone, and there is no perfect formula for getting accepted. Sharing your knowledge of Disney and your passion for it will certainly not hurt your chances, but no one knows why Disney accepts who they accept.
My advice to you would be to be patient (I know it's really hard, I waited 2 weeks!), and know that if you don't get accepted this time around you can always apply again after 6 months. Be confident in what you told your interviewer, but don't overanalyze anything, it's out of your control now!

Good luck!

Hi there! I applied for the DCP the first day apps were out, had my phone interview February 12 and was accepted a bit later February 28 to my top role of concierge. So everyone has a different timeline! Remember the standard time is 2-3 weeks, and I had a longer wait at 16 days to find out. Disney wants to put you in the best spot possible-for some people that takes longer. However it's been barely any time since your phone interview, so don't worry! I was super nervous too but everything works out and happens for a reason :) It sounds like your interview went well so I wouldn't worry!

Hi I applied the first day applications went out and had my phone interview Feb. 17th and I was accepted the Feb 26th. So that is nine days of waiting if I got accepted and I got custodial! Custodial was my #1 choice

Hello!

I applied on Feb. 28 and had my phone interview March 7. I heard back on March 11; this was also the case for one of my friends. My fiancee applied on Feb 27, interview on March 7, and heard back the 10th. We sort of thought maybe it went by application number, rather than how good or bad the interview went.

Good luck!

Thank you for all of your responses! I just got my pending notification today and I honestly didn't expect it but I am trying to look at it that I could fit a variety of roles and Disney is needing more time to figure out where I need to be placed. Has anybody else heard stories of people being pended and accepted later?

I was pended on March 4th then a week later I got an acceptance email. So don't let the pended status get you down! I know of others who were also pended and later got accepted.
