Hey everyone! I couldn't find a discussion about Fall 2012 Professional Internships so I decided to start one! Has anyone else applied?

Um, *WHAT* Fall 2012 Professional Internships are you talking about? Does ABD have a program like that? I haven't heard any details on anything like that. Could you please provide some details? Thanks!

Sayhello

Disney posted all of their professional internships on January 23rd. Most are June-January. If you go to the professional internships website you can find all of the ones they have available. I'm not sure if they have any ABD ones I know they have a link where you can apply to be a guide on their career website though I think!

OK, this is an Adventures by Disney forum, so if you aren't looking to specifically discuss Adventures by Disney, I'll need to move this to a more appropriate forum, as soon as I figure out where that would be! :thumbsup2

Sayhello

Oh okay! Sorry I am new at this. I think it needs to be moved to the college board forum? How do I move it?

I applied to about 6. Have a phone interview on Monday. I also applied for the CP so Ill be happy with either one!

I have also applied to CP and PI and have an interview on Monday! I hope you get accepted to whichever one you are more excited about :)

I have 7 PI positions that show "in progress" so I believe we have to be prepared to answer questions regarding all of the ones they are considering, am I right? My first choice is Adventures by Disney - that would be my dream job!

Be prepared to answer questions about all of the ones you applied to, even the ones that just say submission. I had my phone interview a few weeks ago and they asked specific questions regarding almost all of the positions I applied to! Best of luck with your interview :)

If i were faced with the decision of whether to do the college program or the Professional internship, I think I would go with the CP simply because the experience is supposed to be so rewarding. I don't want to pass up on that.

Oh my goodness! I applied to several that still show in submission and 6 that are in progress... Have you heard back from them yet? I hope you got accepted!

Hi everybody!:)

For those of you who applied for several PIs... On you interview do they give you information on each PIs salary at all? I have my interview coming up next week, I applied for 14 PIs..:yay: most of them marketing and one management retail, I am having a really tough time deciding which ones would be my top choices since I find all of them very appealing and thought that if one paid more than the other then that would help me narrow down and pick. :teacher: oh and I'm also a graduate student, idk if that would make a difference at all.

Thanks!:flower3:

Congrats on getting an interview! Mine is on Monday :) I don't have the answer to that but I hope someone can answer it for us. I have looked at Glassdoor which shows intern salaries but not for specific ones necessarily - just general range. You should definitely get the upper end of the scale tho.

I have a question for you - on your Dashboard next to your invite for the interview, is there a number after the word "interviews"? Mine shows 30. It looks like this:

Registered/Upcoming
Prof Intern Telephone Interviews-30
20 February 2012

Also I understand they interview you for even the ones that show submission so if that's true, then I'll need to choose from over 20 (I originally applied to 16 in marketing and production but only have 12 show "in progress".) My first choice is for Adventures by Disney and I really want to emphasize how much I would love that internship but it is so different than the production positions that I don't want to sound wishy washy.

The Number 30 means that your interview will last about 30 minutes.

I had my interview last week and I had 10 internships to choose from. My interviewer asked me which ones were my favorites and why. He then told me that all of my answers would apply to each internship.

However - each question you are asked are pretty general - so they can apply to anything (i.e.: Describe a great success in the past year) This is just a general interview.

Hi,

As DanzerSam25 said (thanks for that), 30 means the 30min the interview is supposed to last. Wish you the best! Please post your interview experience, I would SO appreciate it. :goodvibes

Happy too - I have been chronically my experience on my blog:

This goes directly to my entry on my experience. I also have other entries - including one that talks about what questions I was asked.

There is also a Facebook group - there are a lot of us in the same boat. Just search for Disney Professional Internships Fall 2012

Someone on there has just received their second interview for Retail MI

Yay! Thanks, I'll check it out :)

After your first initial interview, is there an automatic second interview if you're not being considered? I have my first interview Monday afternoon and am so nervous. Any tips or suggestions on what they may ask during the interview or what I should expect?

just be expected to ask things such as personal questions and your work ethic, and then what types of roles you would like to work at disney!
