DD-13 was in NYC on Nov. 6th and wore fake uggs (Payless brand) for alot of walking. She's had these boots for a couple years and never had problems before. She has been having pain in her foot ever since so I took her to doctor yesterday and he said yes, those shoes she wore are not good for her because there is no arch in them and she did alot of walking. Plus her feet are pretty flat footed. I will definitely be re-thinking getting her Uggs from her Christmas list. I did however, get her the Dr. Scholl's insert (doctor recommended inserts for shoes without an arch) for the fake ones but DD decided not to wear them today, she wore her sneakers.

Anyone else have foot trouble wearing these Fake Uggs or Uggs?

Uggs have no arch support. Emus are a little better.

Experience has taught me that any knock off footwear is not worth the leg pain. Sorry that your daughter is suffering from bad shoes. Did the doctor recommend custom orthodics for her? Or better sneakers like new balance? I learned the hard way that spending more on footwear with the right support saves me alot at the doctors office. I hope you daughter feels better soon.

I am a teacher and on my feet all day.... my real uggs can make my feet sore too. As another PP pointed out real/fake uggs don't have any arch support.

Our pediatrician (also a family friend) thinks Uggs are terrible for kids' feet. The real ones have no arch support, it's not just the fakes.

Real uggs are no better, according to my podiatrist. Get a pair of arch supports for the inside.
