I know this question has been on here before but I can't find it.

My Disney wedding is in 9 days (:woohoo:) and I really need a little tan so I'm not sure if I want to go to the tanning booth or if I should just get a fake tan. What have you guys done?

I'm a little nervous that the fake tan may rub off on to the dress. Has this happened to anyone?

Do you know if the spas on property do fake tans?

Thanks!

Tannign booth= cancer. Noooo tanning booth!!!

Loreal makes an excellent cream that you will only need to use once for a light tan. Sublime bronze. And Neutrogena build a tan for face is great for the face and won't clog your pores.

I got a spray tan a couple years ago when I was in my friends wedding and I loved it. I was terrifed that I'd look orange, but I didn't. And it didn't rub off (although I had a red dress, maybe I wouldn't have noticed as much). If you go that route, I'd definately NOT get it the day of though, maybe 2 days before?

I know tanning beds are BAD, but I'm guilty of using them! But with the wedding being only 9 days away, I'd be afraid I'd burn and peel!

I know....tanning booths are bad. I was just afraid of a fake tan rubbing off.

Thanks for the tip on the Loreal cream....that sounds good! Does it have an ok smell?

Thanks for the advice...I probably would get it 2 days before. Yeah you're right, I'm really pale so i probably would burn and I don't want to do that so close to the wedding.

I'd get it done NOW, so you have time for it to wear off if you're not pleased with the results. You can always have it touched up a couple of days before you leave, if you're happy with it.

When I had mine done, it was pretty much gone within like 4 or 5 days, so if you got it done now, you'd have to definately have it done again before. But, maybe that's a good thing so you can see if you like it? Maybe there's different kinds that last longer, I'm not sure. I just went to a place that's by my house.

The Loreal smells good (not too tanny cream) and one coat is enough for me to have a glow. I get the medium dark. and even if you have some splotches, it is not noticeable wiht one coat.

I tan myself but I am terrified to get a spray one done. I am afraid it will not come out right. I know the cream works for me.

Hey Jennifer!!! I have no advice on this but just wanted to say:

  9 days to go!!!!!

I've done the spray tan multiple times and you just have to make sure your are moisturized to minimize splotches. Esp on your feet, hands, elbows and knees. I would suggest doing it now so you can see if you like and then follow up a few more times within the next week to keep the tan. (or to deepen the tan)

I used to use tanning beds and then I found Bare Minerals self tanner. It is amazing. It gives you a little bit of brown look and not orange at all.

I got mine from QVC so if you only have 9 days that would not work but maybe you can find somewhere that sells it near you.

Sephora has Bare Minerals. I buy my BM foundation from them now, instead of QVC. Don't know where the OP is, but we have a Sephora in Toledo!:yay:
