Fake Service Dogs Outed By Media...

Would you wear a face mask in the parks to avoid allergens?

  • No.

  • Only if I see a dog or other animal that might trigger an allergic reaction.

  • Yes, just in case I might encounter a dog or other animal that might trigger an allergic reaction.

  • Other (because someone said there always has to be an "other" option).

The other title wasn't cutting it -- so here's the sensational, attract the "passionate posters" version...

Thanks for letting us know you're just trying to rock the boat

Actually, I want to know if people will wear masks to protect themselves. Or didn't you see the poll?

But thanks for commenting.

News of a trend has hit the media in the Philadelphia area...

If you're allergic to dogs, I don't know how you can plan to avoid probable problems with a potential proliferation of pretend pooches...perhaps purchase portable pre-filters? http://www.walgreens.com/q/surgical-face-masks

If you're allergic to dogs, would you wear a face mask in the parks to avoid inhaling allergens?

You need a particulate matter respirator, not a surgical mask. A surgical mask doesn't keep stuff out. It only keeps your stuff from getting into the patient's body cavity.

I voted on behalf of my DH. I know he would never wear a mask. DD12 is allergic, too. If she was having a problem, she would probably wear a mask because she would like the attention ;) .

It is SO aggravating to me that people bring their pets in stores. I have an outside dog and have owned pets my entire life. I worked in a prison and was subject to drug dogs coming in and I participated in training where I was the person who held the item soaked in marijuana for the dog to find. So, I am not afraid of dogs. However, we were at Home Depot and a person's dog was barking so loudly and aggressively that I was worried that I would look up to see him tearing down our aisle any minute. Here come all kinds of Home Depot employees and I think something will be done. Well, we rounded the corner and almost bumped into an employee carrying a bowl of water. They were doing something all right, giving the dog water and petting him.

We were in Walmart and a person had their dog lying in the floor under the jewelry counter chewing on a toy!

I've seen trained dogs and it's obvious these weren't service animals because of their poor behavior.

I won't even talk about the monkey riding around on a woman's head inside of Lowes!!!!
