It would not be complete silence, you'd actually hear the players communicating, which I find more interesting than fake crowd noise.I don’t mind it. I think I would hate complete silence. And like a pp says, it brings a sense of normalcy.
If they don’t show the stands it seems like a regular game in 2019.
That's just it - it's not complete silence. I would love to hear the chatter. AYSO does a "silent Saturday" where parents and coaches have to keep quiet. At first it's weird, then you start to focus in on the kids playing the game and it's amazing. Mic up the players, keep a finger on that censor button, and let's hear the REAL game! I would at least like the option of turning off the artificial crowd noise.I don't like it but it is better than complete silence.
The NBA playoffs had the sound as well as virtual fans, which I actually really liked. I've watched a Raptor's game or two of this current regular season and they do have the sound-track but not the virtual fans. When the Stanley Cup playoffs happened, they pumped in crowd noise, and it was underwhelming. The season starts on Thursday (WOOHOO) and I haven't heard if there will be noise pumped in or not. I assume so, but, we'll see.
That's so cute that you assume that I watch sports.
Well then answer the thread question by stating how you feel about the masters pumping in golf claps and "Get in the hole" yells. That's so cute that you assume that I watch sports.
I guess I'll see if I like it on Sunday for the Super Bowl. The only other sports I watch are The Masters, where noise isn't preferred and the Triple Crown races.
I don't think I even noticed. So, I guess it doesn't matter to me.Well then answer the thread question by stating how you feel about the masters pumping in golf claps and "Get in the hole" yells.
As hockey is the only sport I watch (which I can't because I don't have cable or satellite), I long to be able to hear the ice rather than fans. I love the videos off TV they show when they mic up players. The sound of the skates and puck on stick, that's the sounds I want to hear. I wish they could mic up all players and just broadcast that, but as Dale Jr once said, "that's my work office and if you don't want to hear us cussing, don't listen." It just doesn't work for broadcasting sports. It would not be complete silence, you'd actually hear the players communicating, which I find more interesting than fake crowd noise.
