Faith renewed in Travel Agents

In mid-June I posted requesting advice with a complaint letter that I had sent to Travel City Direct regarding my May/June holiday in Orlando/Clearwater Beach.

SandieUK was good enough to put me in touch with a guy who works for them and over the last few weeks we have been corresponding via email to resolve the problems.

I would like to thank SandieUK for her initial help but a big big thank you to Stebo for his sympathy and understanding in resolving the problems I encountered.

We all put our faith in the travel agent when we book our well earned holiday but when things go wrong it becomes very difficult to get any understanding or recognition from their Customer Services.

Well done Stebo! you have renewed my faith in travel agents – particularly Travel City Direct.

Believe it or not most travel agents ARE there to help you, not just take your money :D

Its the few bad ones that give the rest of us a bad name :mad:

In general I agree, from your comment I presume you are a travel agent - this was the first time we had travelled with TCD who came highly recommended, unfortunately on this occasion we had problems.

I think, in general Customer Services (or whatever name they choose to call themselves) are trying very hard to get it right but with everything else it is a very hard long struggle.
