Called CRO today to make a reservation for November 2-8 at POR and began discussing AP rates and also the Fairytale package, she (the cm) told me she thought AP rates for November would be coming out soon and to be watching for them (she didnt say specifically when) when I mentioned the fairytale package she said she could tell me for certain that they were not extending the package to November and December due to the fact that they are all ready 43% occupied for that time frame. Take it for what its worth, I know how different cast members give out different information and your never sure what is fact. I know many of us have been waiting to hear something for that time so I thought I would share what I was told.

I read about someone who talked to a CM a few weeks ago about the FTP, and the CM said the FTP would be extended for Nov. & Dec. Guess we'll have to wait and see! I'm hoping it does....

Thanks for the info though. It's nice to hear what CM's tell everyone!

I wonder if most of the occupancy is over Christmas? I wouldn't think there would be a lot of people in Disney with the exception of Thanksgiving week considering it is the value season. If the Fairytale package goes away, I know we can be ready for some crowds. I just need a good general public code for the value season followed by a great AP rate:)

It seems to me that if the Fairytale package is so successful that it would be a given to extend it at least up to Christmas. Why let the momentum just dry up? The last day to book is 6/29, so I'm thinking something will come out by the 4th of July.

I'm going in November, so extending the package would be great for me, but I'd also be happy with good room only rates or even a good AP rate.

I'm going the week of Easter. Booked at CBR, just room not a deal or pkg. Do they run any specials that time of year & if so how would I know?

I would visit Mary Waring's web site and sign up for her newsletter. This is a great source of information on all the WDW deals.

I hope they extend this package. I already booked a trip with room only ressies for Nov14-21 but not the passes. I am going to wait until Aug if the FTP is not extended. This package would save us a great deal of money. Money I would put to good use at WDW for food, gifts etc!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

We were staying at ASMu the last week of September 2001, mere weeks after 9/11. The parks were dead, everything was a walk on. When I had checked in, I asked about occupancy, and the desk CM said they were close to 100% capacity! As the week progressed, and I talked to other guests, I found out that 5 of the 10 buildings at ASMu were closed...but the 5 remaining were almost full! Statistics can be twisted to fit any situation.

We arrived at DW on Friday, Sept. 21st and you're absolutely right. The parks were empty and the entire place was deserted. You could actually see that several buildings were closed because they had no activity at all (no mousekeepers, no people walking about).. it was actually quite eerie.

I might actually go back after my August trip. If I feel that way, I figure at least a few other people would too.

It would be great if they extended the package, to me this deal is better than any of the Millenium celebration or the 100 year celebration. The prices should bring in more people than having new parades etc.
I am hoping that they will have FT package for a year (like they did for the 100 year and Millenium celebration) my family and I are planning on going next August. If they offer it next year I would definately stay the full 7 nights rather than the 5 or 6 we usually stay.
