Fairy Godmothers and Treasure Boxes..have You participated?

Hi Hi Everyone!

Happy September ( woo hoo my birthday month!)

So.. I was talking in messages with a friend about mabe doing Disney themed treasure boxes to send to the hotels we are staying since we are going around the same time.

We both were wondering..what's it mean when You are a Fairy Godmother? Seen the posts but not sure what it means.

Also, I know they have the lime green mickeys for Disney board recognition.. and they do the girls only trip... but has anyone done Disney themed treasure boxes?

I don't really think this post should go under swaps as it is not for a swap..it's learning about Fairy Godmothers and such.

I don't know that I would want to be in a big swap.. I do better with someone I am familiar with than an assigned person. Have You been in a swap?

Perhaps swap is the incorrect word. I like treasure box much better.

So what's a fairy godmother do? Have there been any Disney treasure boxes with snacks or favorite character themes exchanged between Disboarders?

Yes it is going to be Fun! EmmersTheMommy and I are going to make treasure boxes for each other for our upcoming christmas time trips.

I'm so excitted, it will be fun to help make another familys trip special and to take along another DisBoard Friend on my trip!

I'll post how it turns out. It's so much fun already!

a fairy godmother is someone that visits the park, gets postcards, and then sends your little one a postcard as a disney character

I just bumped the fairy godmailer super thread (with an offer to send some in late oct if anyone's interested ).

Treasure boxes sound fun! I like to do things like that for the people who go on my trips with me. (Like Disneyland needs to be made special-er!)

ok well i had a nice person offering to do post cards and i said my sons fav charcter was melifcent or dark vader lol. so its prety much post cards that you send from disneyland to others. ..ok i think i understand that now. i was just confused

Hi Hi Everyone!

Thanks for bumping up the post on the fairy godmothers.
That wouldn't work well for me on the trip but I'm glad to have the treasure boxes to look forward to.

We have each made notecards to carry in our purses of each others children , their ages and fav characters.

I already bought a couple things today for the treasure boxes.

We decided to send them to each other a couple of weeks before our trip. Which is good because some of the things sent will be good for them on the plane.

We'll post pictures of them so everyone can share in the Disney Magic.

Who knows it might be the start of something new between Disney board friends!

My husband and I were laughing tonight about the time Homer Simpson went to las vegas and came home with a Vegas Wife.

It's a joke in our house now anytime either of us goes on a trip without the other.. "Don't come home with a Vegas Wife".

When You mentioned Mister Burns it made me think of that.

I like the idea of these treasure boxes, I will have to place that on my wish list, so lets see, so far on my wish list, a red Ferrari, I would be happy with a 308 or 328, they are classics, the rich boyfriend that I would need so I could have the car! he he! yada yada...........
