Allure: her hair turned blue an she pulled the small girl into her lap "Everything's okay." She said, bouncing her on her knee. "I know it's scary. No matter what happens we'll be here to care for you."

Angela: She stood. "We're in!" She had read Nancy's mind.

CJ: He checked the time. It was getting close to dinner curfew. "Well, if Hazel gets home before dinner curfew we'll probably have a peaceful night, and a peaceful night would be the best night because they aren't expecting trouble. But, if Hazel doesn't make the curfew, and if Robert and Anne say something or attempt to condemn her when she finally walks in, she'll talk back and they'll have yet another huge full blown fight and so they'll be attentive to the rest of us and if anyone leaves they'll get caught."

CJ: "The thing with Hazel is that she just simply doesn't care. I don't even think she cares about her own life, whether she lives or dies. We all, including Hazel, know that she could simply leave home like every other day and not return. But she also knows that if she did her rebellion would no longer be of any importance."
