Fairies in Training from the Kingdom of Canada (or Go with the Flow!!) update 7/11

Chibi, I remember when the Cosplay Chess was just an idea on the boards....ahh, it's come pretty far since then.

Sounds like a good start to your journey so far! I still haven't tried a TGIF. Can't believe your dad thought it would take 3 hours. It only takes about 1.5 hrs to get to the border from Toronto on an average day anyways.

Love your nails! It looks more like Cinderella to me too.

You guys look so happy together, I love it.
It took us 3 hours once before. I think it was a fluke which he'll never forget. I have fantastic time crossing the border when he's not in the car.

TGIF is amazing. I love the ever-refilling drinks. I always get Dr. Pepper instead.

You guys are having so much fun and you aren't even in WDW yet! I love TGIF! Their broccoli cheddar soup is the best and the Pink Punk Cosmo is so DELISH!!! :cloud9:

Can't wait to read more!

We were super high on excitement and we always have a blast together! Haven't tried the broccoli cheddar yet, or have had a drink there, next time!

Lol, have you ever told him that?

Oooh, ever-refilling drinks sounds awesome.

Ah, almost there!

Love your nails. Very creative and subtly disney!

Why does the Cheesecake Factory always have such a long wait?!

Can't wait to hear about your arrival in Orlando!

I know right? Next year there's a Sailor Moon themed game :D

As for my nails, ya they were more Cinderella D: though at a random point during the week I found Fairy Godmother and she assured me they were more her nails than Cinderella

As a random note for the costume/cosplayers who are watching and near-ish to Toronto, Costume Con 2014 in Toronto!!

OMG OMG OMG its the day we fly out!! The only scary/sad thing about this day of the trip was our 6am flight out of Buffalo.

That being said, most of us made it through the HBO Gaga special (I think Malkin and Tux had sacked out about an hour in -- I heard her say goodnight. So I think I actually saw all of it.) and soon the rest of us were off to lala land for the brief 3 hours of sleep we could get. ALL of the available alarms in the room were set for a 3AM wake up call. And by all, I mean 5 cell phones (some with more annoying ringers than others) the tv, and an automated courtesy call from the front desk (which now that I think about it I can't remember if we got that?) I don't think we did actually? But I think all the ridiculous alarms *coughcoughMalkin'scough* did the job well enough XDMy alarms are fabulous. This one was set to the scene from Despicable Me as seen here -- It's So Fluffy, I'm Gonna Die

To save time, some of us slept in our clothes (yes crazy but you know that already), threw the phones, did ANOTHER double check of passports and boarding passes and were off, with a small side trip to the closest 24 hour Tim Horton's we could find, conveniently right at the corner from the hotel. YAAAAY TEA

Praise goes to Tux for being able to somewhat coherently find the airport on so little sleep at so early in the morning. I've got to say, I LOVE BUFFALO AIRPORT. Its one tiny terminal, and getting through security was a breeze. In under twenty minutes we were through security with no problems, and napping at the gate of departure until 5:30 am when they would start the boarding process. Megpie was so confused by the signs that kept telling her "All Gates this way" since she is used to much larger airports.

I 'scoped out' Buffalo airport if you will when I flew out of there in February to go to New York with my family and everyone almost didn't believe me when I said how fast the check in was and how small and awesome it is! I'm definitely a firm believer in the awesome of that airport rather than Pearson for US flights now

Everything seemed to be going far too smoothly, Malkin and I were crazy, and Megpie was sitting in her blissful 'tea' mode. Tux may have been trying to catch more sleep. We boarded the plane and instead of the "welcome we'll be on our way momentarily" we got a "unfortunately there is a problem blah blah blah etc etc etc..." which instantly sent Jayuna into panic mode + worst case scenario (I love you doll <3 don't ever change). So we got OFF the plane. Truthfully with the exception of Jayuna no one was really worried. The absolute worst case was Malkin would be verbally assaulting an airport employee to get us onto another plane to Florida.
Unfortunately all my plane experiences recently had been delayed with bad results (previous one had been delayed and delayed and delayed until cancelled DX) so I got worried it would happen here! DX Looking back on it I was worried a bit too much but it all was good in the end! =D

DisneyDay1and2021.jpg

Malkin and Tux before loading the first plane.

It was 20 minutes of enjoyment watching the one staff (I need to still write that letter saying how awesome she was) who was dealing with this really irate customer. But soon after, we were back on the tiny plane and on our way to Detroit to transfer. The flight was uncomfortable to say the least, I dislike small chartered planes, thankfully our plane between Detroit and Orlando was a bigger one.

DisneyDay1and2032.jpg

Megpie and her Eyes in the magical tunnel in the Detroit airport on our way to the bigger plane :D

DisneyDay1and2040.jpg

There was a monorail INSIDE the airport, we took it cause we were tired and lazy (as is evident by my expression. Ironically I usually look like this after a weekend at a convention too...)

The moral of the day was, PLANES PLANES PLANES! After a 2hour lay over in Detroit we were BACK in the air again and on our way to Orlando. OMG YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY OMG OMG We were almost there!!! You could tell the number of families and groups on our plane were all heading to the same place, SO many Disney shirts and hats, and groups, it was just a little fantastic. And two Make a Wish groups too if I recall which were kinda sad D= Sadly we have no airplane photos since most of us zoned out the entire flight. (re: there are some photos and a video at home I'm currently writing this while sitting on a cramped bus heading back home after visiting Malkin this weekend).

Landing in Orlando was also made of amazing and HEAT. All of us were wearing long pants since we all get cold flying, I was definitely not prepared for the instant feeling of heat as soon as the plane touched down, even with the A/C still blasting out cold air.

Now, because we had booked through Disney, and signed up for the Magical Express, we got to skip baggage claim (again a notion that really confused Megpie) SO AWESOME. Best service ever if I do say so myself!! and just followed the signs that kept promising "Disney Magical Express ---> this way!" Easy enough to spot, we were greeted by Disney employees with awesome large mickey hands!!! And nametags!! omg so close who helped us find the right line, and then the hyperventilating and the bouncing started. So close, Malkin and I and me too! XDstill weren't sure we were processing the information as it was happening!

DisneyDay1and2046.jpg

MAGICAL EXPRESS THIS WAY!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AND YOU LAUGHED AND TEASED ME FOR TAKING THIS PHOTO! <- takes too many pictures for her own good

DisneyDay1and2050.jpg

DisneyDay1and2051.jpg

I think I may have cried a little bit when the welcome video started, not to mention the four girls we all 'squeed' when we realized the floor of the bus was silver GLITTER. Not quite a full bus later we were on the way! Beach Club and Epcot here we come!!!

Lessons we learned in this leg of our journey: ALWAYS fly out of Buffalo, but get a direct flight next time

SILVER GLITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to hear about the adventures in your first park.

Yay! Finally in Orlando!

I probably would have set as many alarms for a 6am flight. Yikes. Though I probably would have just worn my pajamas to the airport (would not be the first time:) ).

SILVER GLITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to hear about the adventures in your first park.

Awwww, yea! XD I think we were just looking for things to go crazy over at that point since we were pretty much all high on the fact that we were there! :rotfl:

Hahahaha, good plan actually! XD I wouldn't have been opposed to that certainly, but we all had the shirts we wanted to wear, and sleeping in our plane clothes wasn't *too* bad. ^-^

Yikes.... its been a bit too long since our last post. SO SORRY GUYS! But here we go again! We'll get in the swing of things soon *hopefully* ((Pictures hopefully to come soon! I just don't have any of them DX))

But we're going to get all of Sunday done! (And possibly a bit of monday XD)

So, as expected, much squeeing and excitement followed the Magical Express video, and full on crazy when we saw the 'Welcome to Disney World' sign. Hard to grab pictures from the back of the bus, but it finally hit home that WE WERE FINALLY THERE and omg excite ensued.

OKAY. SO BEACH CLUB, SO PRETTY. Stopped off at key west first, then Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside (the last resort that I stayed at with my family), then Boardwalk and finally us. Love the Beach Club! (Port Orleans looks nice, Malkin and I might make a trip there eventually for their new Princess Rooms, though we're too in love With BC, HOME!!!)

DisneyDay1012.jpg

Saw Teena the greeter, squeed at the general surroundings. [color="GREEN"(Though we were too tired/she was talking to some other Dis-ers so we decided we would go back and talk to her later :D ) Took us awhile to check in, [COLOR="Green"](and by took a while took a few hours. We got to the resort by 2:00, within the Check-in time. So we checked in and were told our room wasn't ready yet but it should be SOON. So of course we said that was fine, all we had were our back packs so we headed out to wander the pool and stores around the resort)
, Chibi and I grabbed our buttons, a first time for Chibi and... I got the Birthday Button... even though my birthday is still 3 months away now XD Led to much hilarity over the week and grabbed our reusable mugs and wandered the resort til 4-ish.

At some point we decided that we were going to drop our bags at Concierge and head into Epcot while we waited for the room. I think I speak for the entire group when I say I enjoy how very close to Epcot the resort is! Though it wasn't until much later in the week that I realized that this was the BACK of the park. A small walk across the bridge and we were in the first park of our trip, and my first Disney park EVER!. There may have been a few tears at this point, but soon we were off to explore the world showcase!

So so many princesses and this is when Chibi started to get her name of the magnestism fairy. First person we met was Mary Poppins, then Aurora, and Belle and Beast, and we saw from afar Marie and Alice and Jasmine (her line was cut off by the time we got there) (I am so sad that I didn't have my autograph book with me at the time ;_;)

Aurora’s visit was where we got our name for the trip report. All our plane shirts had the slogan, Keep Calm and Carry a Wand on them, that the girls all bought and Tux made his. Aurora asked us where were our wands, and we said we hadn’t gotten them yet (that was something to be done the next day at Universal). And then it somehow came up that we were fairies in training, and that was why we did not have our wands yet! We'll still in school, and have yet to earn them :lmao: Was so very amusing. Something we realized very quickly was that the adult character interactions are fantastic!

Plus, grabbed some yummy 'beverages' ;D And by yummy she means Grey Goose and Grand Marnier Slushies!

DisneyDay1045.jpg

DisneyDay1047.jpg

DisneyDay1046.jpg

We didn't really get past Moracco by the time we decided to head back, but we checked out the French Pavillion and saw a bunch of princesses already, so it was awesome!

Got our room 5-ish. SO BIG AND NICE. No problems at all fitting the 5 of us, and we've stayed in smaller rooms before at conventions. Hung around for a bit to chill, and then we headed off for our reservation at Akershus in the Norway (NOREVAY!!! :D )pavilion! Mad dash across Epcot ensued.

DisneyDay1055.jpg

Food was SO GOOD. Starts off with a buffet to grab appetizers then you order your main. The appetizers were so good, some of the best smoked salmon I’ve personally ever had. And awesome cheeses and shrimp, potato, chicken salads. omnomnom. Saw Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella, and Belle (who you get a picture with when you entered), and this Snow White was SO much better than the one we saw online (had annoying voice).

DisneyDay1045-1.jpg

Both me and Malki got one of these :D I am so in love with Disney's Gluten Free Brownies!

This was our first Gluten Free meal of the week! I have to say though the food didn't quite settle with either me or Malkin (we assume it had to do with the heat and the type of food at that time of day...) the service was FANTASTIC. Having the chef come out and walk through the buffet with us, and then going over the menu with us was just...it was so different since both of us are just used to omitting anything that may contain Gluten. He even offered to bring us some Gluten Free dinner rolls!! <3

So great to see so many of the princesses at once. Ariel told me she liked my toe scale (I had painted them a bright turquoise/blue for the trip). But great food and great service, probably one of my favourite dinners of the trip.

Afterwords, hung out in epcot for a short time while Chibi and Malkin got their 'Glitter' rings, and me and Megpie decided split off to go to Hollywood Studios for the EMH!

At this point too me and Malkin weren't feeling too hot, something at dinner no doubt, Tux was nice enough to stay with us while we got our rings and went on one ride. Something near the restaurant about Norevay, and that's really all I remember about it other than black lights, a floating eye, and we were in a boat. Once we got our rings we started walking back to the resort to crash in the quiet pool for a bit. Walking back we got to see quite a bit of the Epcot fireworks show, Illuminations. The lights all 'blowing' out across Epcot at the same time was a little freaky when you're trying to walk through crowds!

Got there about 9:40-ish by boat from Epcot with an EMH closing time of 11. I was absolutely not expecting how there was pretty much no one there. The park was about 90% empty. Walked on EVERYTHING. It was AMAZING, and definitely one of the highlights for me.

When we got there, ran about hilariously since we had no clue where we were going (Hollywood studios is kinda hard to navigate in the dark when you don’t know where you’re going XD) even though you’d think it’d be hard to miss a giant tower. Asked a bunch of people directions, ran this way and that (we were expecting lines so we wanted to get to rides fast since we didn't have that much time), but eventually we eventually found sunset boulevard!

Photo0037FourBySix.jpg

Then came one of the best sequence of rides ever! Rock’n’roller coaster (my first time, since previously no one had wanted to go on it with me ITS SO AWESOME. dark+shooting out really fast+upside down=my type of roller coaster), tower of terror, rock’n’roller coaster, tower of terror, brief break to calm ourselves, then tower of terror again!

By that point, it was 10:45-ish, and we grabbed some strawberry ice cream to share. We then decided to go see if we could still go on Toy Story Mania, because I had heard it was awesome and usually impossible to go on during the day. After more running around since we had NO clue where Toy Story mania was in the park, we eventually found it. So decieving since in the dark, the area looks practically deserted.

We got there literally at 10:58, were still let in, and had a blast! I beat Megpie, but not by much (something like 96k to 94k), but she had a higher accuracy score then me. Still ridiculous awesome fun though. :)

Afterwards, walked home (something I grew to love about Beach club, so close to DHS and Epcot!!) and saw an armadillo of all things by the path XD Me and Megpie then proceeded to launch into ‘armadillo armadillo’ a la Amadeus, and I tried to grab a picture, but the little thing ran off too fast and I didn’t get to grab a great one. Still, kinda cool. Others were asleep by the time we got back, but soon bed. ((I'll let one of them come in to say what they did when me and megpie were gone since I'm not sure XD)) OMG HARRY POTTER TOMORROW!!!

Yeah, for your arrival at BC. Wow, you guys crammed in a lot of fun for your first day! Obviously, I'm thrilled to hear you were impressed with the Beach Club!

Great afternoon and evening at EPCOT.

I loved the "best of Hollywood Studios" tour, too. We find HS hard to navigate during the day, so I can just imagine how tricky it was to find where you were trying to go in the dark.

We will be at Harry Potter World in a few days!!!

YAY!! HARRY POTTER!! Can't wait. The movies have been on tv for the past two days so we have been watching them. Can't wait until next Friday when Deathly Hallows Part Two is released.

Others have said they preferred the frozen butterbeer too. Sounds yummy!

I'd also recommend grabbing an early-ish lunch at the 3 Broom Sticks. We got lunch around 11:30 and we basically walked right in. We got the 4 person platter (added one extra) and it comes with AMAZING food. I think we remembered to get a pic of it. BUt its vegies, corn on the cob, chicken, ribs etc...

Thanks for the tip!!! :thumbsup2

As you may know, a HP fan convention, LeakyCon, is going on during our trip. Hopefully we will see some costumed fans who are participating in this. There are lots of interesting activities scheduled, including an afterhours exclusive event at WWoHP afterhours on July 13, called "Open at the Close"

I LOVE that!

Sorry to hijack, but just thought I'd drop in for a mo.

I'm going to be at LeakyCon :wizard: and while we're allowed to wear costumes to WWoHP for Open at the Close on Wednesday July 13, (the only time one is allowed to do so), I'm not sure that we're allowed to wear them during normal operating hours or only after the park closes to everyone else. We'll be allowed in at 2 but most of us will leave to go to the "Opening Festivities" that start at 6 and go until 8:30. After they're done, we'll start making our way back to the park and that's when I would imagine most of the costumes will start appearing. :)

Just an FYI...

Mostly rushing this post out with a few things in mind here:

1. Wednesday July 13th is Potter like its 2007 at the book store
2. HBP pt2 COMES OUT IN THEATERS OMG ITS ALMOST OVER T___T
3. Natebenma going to WWoHP during Leaky Con (JEALOUS) SO JEALOUSso I figured I'd throw some stuff up here to show what they've got to look forward to.

Okay so, long story short that was in our PTR, WWoHP was our ORIGINAL trip, and we figured out if we were going to do this vacation we'd better do it right....though we also remembered after the Disney part was booked that "Oh Ya....Harry Potter....." So we decided to start our first full day in Florida at Universal Studios at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!! :wizard:

DisneyDay2013.jpg
WELCOME TO HOGWARTS

All of us grew up with the books and each one means something to each one of us. Again we're HUGE Harry Potter nerds, point in case:
This isn't Hogwarts trailer 1
This isn't Hogwarts trailer 2
(Full video coming soon including a kind of game of Quidditch! )

Anyway, huge HP nerds, so after Jayuna and Megpie closed out Hollywood Studios the night before, Malkin again set ALL of the alarms in the room and we up early enough to leave Beach Club to get to Universal for 8:00 am (the park itself didn't open until 9:00). We ended up being one of the first in line!!We all wore our potter shirts from Starkids "Keep Calm its going to be TOTALLY AWESOME", A la A Very Potter Musical each a different colour, and Malkin and I brought Scarfy, the Scarf of Sexual preference. While we were waiting in line we met another AVPM and AVPMS fan who squeed over Scarfy and the shirts.

One the park opened it was like the proverbial running of the bulls through the gates. It was obvious how to get there (You could see the castle once you entered the park!! I remember bursting into excited squees as soon as I saw it), and literally NO ONE stopped at any of the other sections on the way through to Hogsmede. Once there, we all sort of paused at the same time, and there were more tears (I totally started crying, I'll admit it. It was just so amazing, I was dumbstruck!), from everyone this time. It was like coming home. I am so glad JK Rowling had so much say in everything, it is EXACTLY like it should be. With Hogwarts Castle sitting up on the hill you look up from Hogsmede and you really do feel like you're there.

DisneyDay2004.jpg

Now, before I get ahead of myself, Malkin and I did some hard core online planning on how we were going to accomplish everything we needed to. That being: Olivander's Show, Forbidden Journey, Castle Tour, Butterbeer, and hit all of the shops. The game plan was to get in line as fast as we could for Olivander's, then rush over to Forbidden Journey.

The Olivander's show is definitely something I highly recommend, even if you don't get chosen by Olivander. Standing in the wand shop with little boxes crammed everywhere in every nook and cranny...it's just right. We made it into the second showing, did a quick tour through the shop, and then booted it over to Forbidden Journey. Everyone has been teeling me though that I was likely to get picked for the show, and even though I didn't, while disappointed, it was sooooo cool to see. It looks amazing in there!!!The line's were RIDICULOUSLY SHORT! The joke over the next five days would be that we kept bringing the line with us. Seriously, the line for Forbidden Journey was MAYBE 15 minutes.

Malkin and I don't do so well on thrill rides, so we gravol'd up and away we went. Myself, Megpie, and Malkin on one car, Jayuna and Tux on the one behind us. There really are no words to describe how amazing this ride is. There are really only a few times when you can see the car beside you, so you really feel like its your special journey. The only thing I didn't really like about it, was that Malkin almost broke my wrist in her death grip, and that I got the soggy gross hot 'smoke' from the dragon as well as the icky warm water from Aragog when we went through the forest.

The ride works like a simulation sort of thing, with screens and real props and you're basically on a sort of arm that constantly tilted a bit back, so you move forward back, side to side on it. It ACTUALLY felt like you were truly going with what was going on the screens, I've never been on anything like it. You were totally in the action. I recommend it so very highly, probably one of my favourite rides EVER. the quidditch was so cool, and even seeing you're face with the dementors, like they're performing a 'kiss' on you XD

By the time we got off the ride it was only just 10:00...we had already accomplished half of our list IN LESS THAN AN HOUR! After the ride we hit up the Butterbeer cart, four of us got frozen butterbeer one got the regular, I personally think frozen is better. It is. I got frozen later in the day and I liked it much better, but cold was still good!!Butterbeer in hand we went to do a quick tour of the shops. I have to say Honeydukes and Zonko's are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Like everything else here, just...amazing.

DisneyDay2068.jpg

I Hijacked the camera at this point...

DisneyDay2065.jpg

RED VINES <3 (sorta)

DisneyDay2059.jpg

At this point I can't remember if we went shopping and then got food, or if we got food and left...I -think- Megpie, Jayuna, and Tux went on Dueling Dragons, Dueling Dragons is another awesome coaster, and the line up was really cool with you getting a great view of the castle, hagrid's hut, and the line has the goblet of fire and the triwizard cup in it. Again, crazy awesome short lineup with short, and we rode in the front!! Funfun. Fire was totally the way to go XD Really is freaky since it does almost feel like you're going to hit the other coaster!and after that we headed over to the Three Broomsticks for Lunch. Also sooooo good. We ended up getting a meal platter (+1) which consisted of bbq chicken, ribs, roasted veggies, corn on the cob, and pumpkin juice. So so so satisfying. Right after lunch we made a quick detour to use the washroom, mostly just to hear Mertyle, and then we checked out the rest of the park, before deciding to come back later to finish up the rest of our shopping, because oh boy did we have an extensive list of what we wanted to buy there XD I knew going into the trip that I was likely to buy the most things at Harry Potter

DisneyDay2017.jpg

Pumpkin Juice from the Three Broomsticks (if you buy it at the store or cart it comes in the proper bottle )

DisneyDay2016.jpg

Malkin and I ate around the croutons!

lunch time!!

We walked through Jurassic Park (my guilty pleasure actually...) and I was so disappointed that the water ride wasn't working! Though like a huge nerd / fangirl I dragged them into the Visitor Center to take pictures to give to my father, then we continued on to Marvel Studios. Megpie and Jayuna ran off to do Dr. Doom's Fear Fall disappointing and kinda lameand Hulk CoasterAWESOME, and then we headed back over to Harry Potter for the castle tour to grab some more pictures and to finish up our shopping!

DisneyDay2098.jpg

My guilty pleasure....though T-Rex is better than Spino >_<

DisneyDay2105.jpg

Megpie does not approve of my nerd moment

Back at Harry Potter, slightly more busy but not by much. Stopped to grab some more Butterbeer (all of us grabbed frozen this time. SO GOOD)then stopped in at the Owl Post/Dervish and Banges, ANOTHER AWESOME SHOP, to grab wands and quidditch gear!!! We all got our wands chosen for us in the store, they had a really awesome service that a wand would get chosen for you based on a special date given to the staff there. I think all of us chose our birthdays. It was kinda funny, since some of the wands based on birthdays had a skull at the end of it, and the staff ask you to balance it and give it a wave, and the like, and if she could tell on your face you didn't like it, she'd slightly tip it so 'oh it wasn't balanced' XD This happened to I think Megpie and Chibi. Megpie didn't want one so overtly evil ;D After purchasing everything we wanted there, we headed over to see if we could do the castle tour in the castle.

Also, disappointing that the ATM there does not ring out that you took the money out at Gringotts D= And, sadfaced because a Ravenclaw prefect badge didn't exist :sad1:

When we headed up there, one of the staff maning the entrance (a Hufflepuff I believe), recognized our t-shirts and Scarfy, and squeed a bit over us. Then, I asked, just to check since I almost couldn't believe it, if the line up for Hogwarts was still only a half an hour. If it was so short, me and Megpie wanted to try the ride again because it was so amazing. I expected it to be so much longer. She then looked thoughtful for a sec, looked at us, looked back at the castle, repeated this, then asked how many of us wanted to go on the ride again. I said only two of us. She then smiled, then said, she can't really do this that often, but she liked our stuff, and that if we go through the castle tour, and tell the person at the end of the castle tour line that she sent us, we could get put on the ride again without waiting in line. OMGYESPLZ. So we got on the ride again, and it was still amazing, while the rest of the guys went through the castle tour. AWESOME. :woohoo: T-SHIRTS OFFICIALLY JUST PAID FOR THEMSELVES!!! After this, it was decided that it was time to head off, back to Beach Club home and most importantly, POOL! :cheer2:

On the way back to the resort, the cab driver was nice enough to slow down going through the gate way so Jayuna could snap a better picture of it (without even asking <3 the guy was really nice). That was awesome, especially since it was really hard to grab a good picture of it while on the magical expressAfter sending a message on Facebook to assure all the parental units that everyone was still alive, and to taunt Malkin's younger brother about his present, we donned our bathing suits and headed down to the Beach Club pool and our own Lazy River!

Coming Next: Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom / Chibi falls down goes boom

The Beach Club looks so pretty! How long was the walk to Epcot?

This is a great story:

I love Akershus, though I am sorry the food didn't settle well with everyone!

So exciting that you got to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I am also a huge Harry Potter fan (and very excited/sad for the last movie this week). It is great that you got so much accomplished!

And you can hear Mertyle in the bathroom?! They really did think of all the details!

I want to say the walk was 5 minutes sort of thing, maybe even a bit less. It was fantastic!! And it was only about 15 minutes to DHS too :woohoo:

And yea, we thought it pretty hilarious ourselves XD If I recall, we continued on a bit with that story when we met Belle later. And we became 'real fairies' starting the next day when we got our wands and by the end of the trip, were all 'fairies' of something. Kinda awesome.

Like I said in the post, it was just so amazing. I've been a Harry Potter fan for ... a very long time. I remember waiting for the Goblet of Fire to be released and when Prisoner of Azcaban was new! So to see something like it after imagining it for so long was just amazing. It's kinda sad, but I fully started to tear up. And we were shocked by the line ups all week, we typically never waited more than 20 minutes for anything, with one exception from Toy Story Mania when we went back to DHS and we waited 50 minutes. It was amazing. And same, we're going to a Midnight showing on Thursday, plus a bunch of Chapter/Indigos (our big book chain) around Toronto are doing events to pretend like we're back in 2007 when the last book was released, a la #Potterlikeits2007, so there will likely be lots of excitement and more tears this week

And oh yea!! Kinda shocked to hear she was put in the female washroom too, but I think they likely had so many girls sneaking into the male washroom to catch a peak at Mertyle that they just decided to put her in the girls too XD Hard to make out a lot of what she was saying, but so cool
