Fairfx Question

I've just taken out a new card (and so has DH), we've just loaded them with £100 and £50 respectively as it says new cards take 7-10 working days to arrive and when we took them out we only had 11 working days left so fingers crossed they arrive in time!

My question is how long does it take for a top up to be applied to the card? We are intending to take our laptop with us so that we can transfer money whilst we're out there but is it available on your card instantly or does it take hours or days to be available to withdraw? We will be transferring the money from our current account via debit card.

Within an hour normally but i tink the official line is a couple of hours

So you didn't have a problem getting two separate cards for the same address? The reason I ask is that I always thought you couldn't have two cards. We wanted to get an additional one for our trip in October (as the funds on our main card are pooled with the other family we are travelling with) but didn't think we could - and I didn't particularly want to pay the £6 for a friends and family card.

We have two separate Fairfx cards at the same address. One for me and one for DW.

postie has just delivered my card, I have to go and activate it on their site and phone to get my PIN.

We didn't have any problems with getting 2 cards, we put both through Quidco too so it will be interesting to see if we get 2 lots of cashback as well. DH applied for his the day after me so hopefully his card should be here in the next day or so.

We decided to get 2 in case we lost one or had one stolen as I read that it was better to be able to transfer the funds from the lost card to another card rather than trying to get the money back.

I used these the last time I went. I had 2 in my name, no problem!

I've just ordered another one, in my name again, same address, through opodo like before (so all cards were free) and it arrived in 3 days.

Tops ups go on within an hour usually
