Fairfx Card

Hiya

Really sorry for possibly repeating already asked questions but;

In the past we have normally taken cash only but as we are visiting different states this trip I have decided to tread carefully and take some of our spends on a loaded card instead.

My concerns here are:

Firstly have the Fairfx card website recently changed, I thought it used to be Red and Blue? (don't want to be clicking on some bogus website)

Am I reading right that they charge you per transaction abroad?

I know it may sound silly but in light of recent issues some disers have had with online currency agents, what makes these guys "safe", are they fully protected like Thomas say?

Also any other advice would be greatly apprecaited

I took a fairfx card in May for NY & WDW, I got a friends & family card linked to my account for my boyfriend incase we lost one, then we could transfer all the funds to the other.

They didnt charge me anything when I spent on the card it's like a debit card, but I believe they charge you $2 per cash withdrawal. We had some cash alongside our card so we never withdrew any cash!

I downloaded the free app onto my iPhone and it was kept up to date & is really easy to use! I'd recommend it

We have used one for last six years and never a problem

They do not charge for using the card only to withdraw cash

We shall be topping up this year for our holiday, used it in orlando, mexico and a few other places even here by mistake with no problems

No charges for normal spending using a Fairfx card, only for withdrawing cash. I love the Fairfx card, it's so convenient and we just put a couple of hundred $$ on it every time the rate is good (or at least not rubbish).

The website hasn't changed, it's always been gold and black.
