Staying at Star Isalnd for one week in Jan. Any comments, suggestions, reviews would be appreciated. Thanks:confused:

I stayed at this resort and it is beautiful. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a king size bed and whirl pool bath. The living room had a balcony, pull out sofa bed, table and full kitchen. The suite had a washer & dryer. I think they provide shuttle service to disney but I had a rental car. I only remember 2 pools which were not heated and they were at the front desk. They did require a credit or debit card imprint upon check-in but no amount was placed on my card. I thought the resort was nice but a little far from disney for me.

You mention that it's "a little far" from Disney. How far is "a little far"? I'm asking because we're contemplating making our first visit to Disney in May and we have 3 kids.

Also, does Fairfield at Star Island have a shuttle from the resort to Disney each day??? We're trying to figure out how difficult it will be (if they don't have a shuttle) to drive to Disney, park and then to walk (with 3 kids) to where the shuttles will take us to the rest of the park...

Help?

JJ

Star Island is not very far from Disney...just a few miles down 192. I would not recommend relying on shuttles anytime while staying off property. Too inflexible. If I recall, Star ISland did not have its own shuttle but you could get shuttle service that stops at several properties for a fee.
