Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Noticed the I4 runs behind it - is it very noisy. Just wanting to know before booking for next year as we stayed on the 535 (Orlando Vista-Formerly Double Tree Club) in April and it was far too noisy with traffic and bins being emptied early in the morning.

Thanks

Stayed for 2 weeks in 2005. Very good hotel - so much so my parents have stayed there twice since, and my brother is booked in for this Decemeber. Thumbs up from me. No road noise - I usually find air conditioning drowns most noises out anyhow! No issue with bins - plenty of free parking for hire car and about 5 mins from Disney. Apparently free breakfast too, though we are not breakfast eaters so did not venture down.

Would definately recommend it. We've stayed there twice and have our next trip there booked for August. Never had any problems with noise :thumbsup2

We stopped there last year no problem with noise from the I4, just an unruly family of Brazillians who insisted on running up and down the corridors shouting at all times of night, but you can get that anywhere, would definately recommend the hotel :thumbsup2

Stayed there at Easter, no problems at all. See thread below, I posted a few pics. Read the thread then ask anything else you want to know, also if you search there will be more threads I should think.
No problems with noise or bins etc.

Thanks Wayne. You seem to be a bit of a wizz at getting good rates. I tried alpha rooms for 26/4/08 to 3/5/08 and got a quote of £228 (a few weeks ago), but now I can 't get a quote and other sites says too early to book yet. You say you prefer Mariott Courtyard on Palm Parkway - is it much better? It is cheaper, what do like/not like etc etc. I really want to stay either around Palm Parkway or Vineland Ave as I like the area, so any advice on when and what sites are best to use would be great.

Sue,

Just had a quick look, seems prices are not great for the week you want, maybe its a bit early not sure. Hotelopia have some rates that are not too bad.
Examples 3 bed townhouse Cane Island Address 3150 Vineland Road £35/night (£245 week) I know nothing about here
Country Inn & Suites Lakes Buena Vista Address 12191 S APOPKA VINELAND £28 (£196) incl breakfast.
Cheapest Marriott I can find- Courtyard By Marriott - Marriott VillageA ddress 8623 VINELAND AVENUE £43 (£299)

Courtyard by Marriott on Palm Parkway is not even being quoted so I guess you will have to wait a while if nothing above appeals. We prefer it down on Palmpark way for the traffic it was 10 times easier last August than Vineland Ave at Easter. Also Wireless connection was perfect, Fairfield was slow at times. There is for and against both places, no real problems staying at either.

If you want to know more about Country Inn above PM http://www.disboards.com/z/index.php?z-profile=edinburghlass I helped Cynthia get a good rate, she stayed here before and going again on 10th June. I am sure she will help you.

If you have an rpoints account (if not create one) you get 6% cashback for Hotelopia bookings.

If you dont find anything send me a PM if 2 or 3 weeks and I can have another look for you.

Thanks again - I may get back in touch! What are rpoints? Also can I ask what type of travel insurance you have as I notice you've also done Dinsey Cruise which we are next year, so I'm looking for Family Annual Multi Trip, but I need to make sure its covered for a cruise and needs to start in Aug 07 (for a trip to Spain)

rpoints is a cashback site, everyone should join, costs nothing. Most the major companies are connected to cashback sites. Eg Virgin Atlantic give 0.5% for flights. Virgin wines 7%, just 2 I have used recently.
They also have a great forum on there where people post misprices, freebies, etc.
Another section for vouchers, there is 1 for 10% discount at Hotelopia but I think its only on this years bookings, I tried it for you dates and did not work.
I have been a member for about 18months-2 years and had £500 cashback so far.
There are other sites like Quidco (£5/year charge) which offer better rates of cashback but I find rpoints more reliable.
www.rpoints.com

I use Insure and go for annual family travel insurance. They offer 5 levels of cover, I take the top one which is "Black" £130/year less 10% cashback with rpoints makes it £117. To be honest I have not even thought about cruise insurance you would have to check with them what it covers. They have annual family policies from about £50/year.
