I was there last month and got to stay in one of the refurbished rooms - Mickey theme. Most everything in the room is new. It has brand-new carpeting, shower surround, mattress, furniture, sleeper sofa, and a large flat-screen tv.

Fridge is the same, lol. Also, I've stayed several times before over the past few years. Traveling as an adult-only group, it's always been a great place to stay. Even the older rooms were fine, they were clean and comfortable.
They are doing renovations still, so if you stay and need afternoon downtime naps, just ask for a room away from their work areas. We stayed near some of the work and we could hear hammers/drills and some bumping, but it was relatively infrequent and since it was only during the daytime, it didn't bother us.
They've added a Seattle's Best coffee place on the 3rd floor, so it's an option for those who don't want the in-room brew or McDonalds (which is a 1-minute walk across the parking lot).
The pool is small but very clean, with a separate hot tub.
rosiep - I'm sorry the shuttle didn't take you to the door. We've done the shuttle for all our FFI stays and never were dropped curbside.
The bed is very comfortable!
We're going back this December and are staying at the HOJO. Only reason is the Entertainment Rate. If it wasn't available, we'd be at the FFI again.
