It's a pleasant place to stay - good basic pools and very nice rooms. The 1BR condos are all parts of 2BR lock-off units. Both sides have a king MBR, a LR w/eating area, stacked washer/dryer in the closet. But the 1BR Deluxe with full kitchen, jacuzzi tub and balcony is huge. The 1BR standard has a nice kitchenette (regular fridge but other appliance are mini-sized, even the dishwasher) set into one wall of the LR and the bathroom is a standard hotel-style bath. There's no balcony and this unit is half the size of the other. Still, it's far superior to a suite hotels' rooms.
From this resort, it's an easy 10 minute drive (5 miles?) to MGM or AK, 15 min to Epcot, 20 min. to MK (including monorail). There are several convention centers at Disney Resorts. If you mean the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, figure a 10-15 min drive (different direction, with a little traffic on S. Int'l Dr.). HTH.
