The press release on the Fairfield Resorts press release page says that the new Wyndham Hotel and Spa will actually share facilities with the Fairfield timeshare resort that's partly open now. It will have a 14,000 sq ft spa, conference space, a full service restaurant, café, lobby bar, resort pool w/poolside dining, furnished shade cabanas, fitness center, arcade and shuttle to the WDW theme parks. Further details will have to wait but it sounds quite nice. They're to begin building late next year with opening anticipated in early 2009.
For more info on the new Waldorf-Astoria and Hilton hotels being built within the same Bonnet Creek development, see this thread on the topic. It seems that all three of these hotels and the timeshare will be completed within a year of each other.
Exciting news for those of us who may like to stay offsite in deluxe accomodations but so CLOSE to the parks, the BW, DD and TL.
