I couldn't believe I committed the heresey of calling the new eveing light and water show at DCA Light Magic! :scared1:

Light Magic was the name of a highly UNsuccessful replacement for the Main Street Electrical Parade that occured for a brief period during the early 90's. The viewer response was so hostile that it only lasted less than one season!

The new show is actually called "World of Color" - a tribute to one of the many names of Walt Disney's popular Sunday night television show.

Okay - hope that brings my "trivia karma" back up!

I never saw Light Magic, but I LOVE the parade music on one of the park music CDs I have. It's ok to have it as a secret guilty pleasure, isn't it?

Your Disneyland Correspondent status has now been revoked. ;)

I am looking forward to a night time show in CA, sounds great! Keep up the great work Nancy, I like all of your tips :)

Thanks!
Glad to know I'm helping folks out. That's all I was really hoping to accomplish! I just got so excited getting to talk to the whole gang live for the first time, that I tripped a bit over what I wanted to say.

PS
You know - you could get a countdown if you come down for the big DIS event on Labor Day Weekend!!!!!!!!!

Don't we all have those guilty pleasures? :rolleyes1 Mine is the OLD Universe of Energy song........ :rolleyes1 "You make the world go round and round. You make the world go round...." :rolleyes1

Don't get me started on that. I was thrilled that some of my favorite "classic" Epcot songs were re-released on one of the more recent park CDs. I had the cassette tape of the originals, ranging from "Tomorrow's Child" (just as cheesy, IMHO) to "Fun to be Free" and all the rest.

I liked that cheesy Energy song better than the soft rock stylings of the Universe.....of Energy! song.
