Facilities in baby care centers?

I am curious as to what types of accomodations there are for families in the baby care centers. I read in another post that there are family bathrooms. Do the family bathrooms have small toilets suitable for the newly toilet independent ? (ie. just out of diapers)

Thanks!

I didn't actually go into the bathrooms at the babycare centers, as my child won't be out of diapers for a while (she was 5.5 mo. at the time). The door was open to one of these family restrooms, and I believe that I did see a toilet that was smaller and close to the floor. I don't remember which park this was in, and all of the babycare centers are slightly different from one another. So, I don't know if they have these small, short toilets in all of the parks.

Leslie,

WDW has some of the best accomodations for families with young children I have ever seen. Each park has a "Baby Center" but don't let the name fool you, they are designed for toddlers, too. In addition to the bright, clean changing area, there is also a small "dining room" with toddler size furniture and high chairs. There are some nice chairs for relaxing and fresh clean bathrooms. I think that there is a small toilet, but as DD was only 1 1/2 yo when we went we didn't really look. In each Baby center, there is also a wide variety of products to purchase, from diapers and wipes to food and juice. Look for the centers by the First Aid stations. In MK, it is right next to the Crystal Palace. In Epcot, it is between the World Showcase and Future World and in MGM, it is near the entrance. Have a great time!

Thanks Rebecca! I've been to WDW twice now with a child under 2 and never felt I needed to use the Baby Care Centers....though I meant to stop in at one on our last trip just to see!

I'll be checking them out this time!

the baby care center at MGM is very small, but did have a bathroom just for the little ones.

Although my DS was 19mos last time, we were sure to stop at the Baby Centers whenever we went by. It was so quiet and relaxed.

If for no other reason, it was nice to be able to change him with my husband beside me. Although he is usually really great, a cranky, tired boy, on his way out of the park for a nap, is not the most cooperative. I didn't want to try it on a shelf in the ladies room with everyone else wandering around.

He loved getting to watch videos for a minute too (doesn't see too many at home) while mom and dad packed up. We'll be back in September and checking out the size of the little toilets, if our luck holds.

Enjoy the trip.

The changing tables are so nice and clean and they're not hard plastic things that come out of the walls:)!

I did notice some smaller toilets in some of them. Some had separate bathrooms, some we're just toddler bathrooms. They also had nursing rooms.

We've been to all of them, the nicest and largest one is probably the one at EPCOT behind the Odessey on the way to Mexico. The CMs are very helpful. I remember forgetting bowls for my dd's oatmeal for breakfast each morning. The CM at one of the centers gave me several to take with me to last the trip.

We try to make it a point to stop to even relax a bit. As mentioned they have a room with a tv, toddler table and chairs and the CMs will give your child some crayons to color a character picture. It's just a nice "rest" from the crowds and heat!

If you have little ones especially in diapers I highly recommend changing them at the centers if you can.
