Facepainting options?

Whenever we bring up our Disney trip DD talks about getting our faces painting... With matching rainbows...looks like I’m getting my face painted too.

I think she just want a rainbow above her eye.... is that something they do? Or do they only do the options on the board?

If anyone has pictures of the options that would be great, I am trying to prepare her that she might get exactly what she wants... but would like an idea of what she can get...

I want to caution you against the face paint. If you can stand in front of your toilet, take a $20 bill and flush it without flinching, then by all means, do it. I'm at work and don't have access to the picture, but a few years ago we got the most amazing butterfly done on my daughter's face. It was so beautiful, for all of 5 minutes. Then, it began to itch and melt, ended up all over everything, and just became a massive, smeary mess after about 15 minutes. We had to stop and wash it off, because it was getting all over our clothes and left blue fingerprints on everything she touched. It was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent at WDW, and that is saying something.

Ugh! This does not sound fun at all.... so sorry to hear this :(

My daughter got this adorable rainbow at animal kingdom back in 2009 when she was not quite 3, *tear*

She got it at maybe 9:30 in the morning and this is how it looked at a late lunch, this was maybe 2ish (I only remember because she stilled napped and it was past nap time and she was getting grumpy!)

Not terrible for 4 hours in Animal Kingdom on a warm day. I mean, it’s definitely a consumable, not going to stay put forever. You just have to decide if it’s worth it to you.

Those pics look ok! I don’t mind doing it for one day, def not getting it for her every day that’s for sure!

On our last day in February 2014, DS got full face paint Darth Maul (looked great!) at HS.....made it all the way home to Connecticut ...got lots of smiles in the airport. I believe it was $18. If I remember correctly, I was told we had to choose from what was on the board.

My girls got their faces painted last Saturday at HS. They finished the park and wore their faces to dinner out that night. One of them sat in the hot tub with her tiger face and it held up. It was 82 degrees that day. A few years ago they had their faces painted at animal kingdom and the artist painted one daughter as an antelope, even though it waa not an option. She made it up as she went. I think it depends on who you get as to whether they will risk a custom paint. Last week it was about 18 a girl. Maybe 20.

Our DD9 LOVES getting her face painted!!! They are so good about touching it up and fixing it through out the day. We’d have smudges and drips touched up free of charge. Such a fun memory! :)

My kids also love the face painting and we never had any of the issues of the PP. the makeup is very high quality.

One time they brought out a book of designs when my kid couldn’t find the option wanted but not sure all CM could do all the designs.

My daughter had her face painted in HS on our trip last January. She loved it and it lasted all day until her bath that night. If I remember correctly it was about $20, and well worth it for the smiles it brought to her face.

This was done in Animal Kingdom in January of 2015. It was cold, but this held up from before lunch until we removed it during her bath.
