Anyone been on here??

Its kind of like a myspace/friends reunited type place.

I kept getting "invitations" to join, but i wasnt sure. Just joined and had a look through and founds loads of people i used to go to School with, people i used to work with etc.

Just wondered if anyone else had seen it?

Facebook apparently 'new social menace', I know a few people on it but am not really interested in it myself.

I have a Facebook account. It's a lot easier that MySpace to keep up to date with. Most of my friends have 'converted' now too.

I have got both Facebook and MySpace accounts - have just discovered them both recently and thought I would give it a go - obviously I am a bit of a saddo!

I have a facebook and a myspace too, much prefer facebook. far less flashing annoying graphics and music all the time.

I keep hearing about this "new social menace" story but I can't find it anywhere.

I'm not sure if Facebook is new to the UK? I know from my daughter (who is in college now) that originally Facebook started as kind of a myspace for college kids - you could find what universities your friends were at, see who was in your upcoming semester's classes,etc - It expanded alot over the last year it seems and now has corporate groups, and high school kids. When it first started (and even up until a little over a year ago I think) you had to have a .edu email to join or your company had to have a group. At least that's according to my college age daughter. LOL It was supposed to be different from myspace in that you could only "see" people from your college or your friends. (an additional bit from daughter LOL) Obviously it's much different - and really it was a rapid change over the last year.

I joined Facebook about a month ago and already I'm back in touch with 4 people from my school days - much easier to find peope than MySpace and no stupid bulletins which is marvelous!

The bulletins on myspace are hugely irritating. I have one friend in a band who sends out at least 20 a week telling us to get all our friends to add his band to their friends lists.

The most irritating are the questionnaires and the 'pass this on and you will be lucky in love' - absolute garbage that gets recycled every few days and takes the place of bulletins I actually want to read! I may delete all 'friends' who keep sending mindless bulletins - zero tollerance

Well ive joined in!! I can see quite a few of old school friends on there so i thought id give it a go!

I joined last week, I have been incontact with my brother more on here the past week more than we would normally speke Also have got back incontact with one of my very dear friends who i lost conact with through leaving the Army.

I only got involved with facebook this week after a couple of invitations, i have to agree that it is less annoying than myspace and not just anybody can view my profile so it is loads more private, but i still love myspace so i can express my individuality with layouts, graphics etc., so i guess I will keep using both

I joined Facebook this week after a couple of friends invited me. I like that its private and it does seem more grown up. No one can read your profile unless they are your friends (at least I think so, i'm still trying to figure it out!).

We should start a DISUK network!
