What is this? I have heard about it and a friend of mine has been trying to get me to join...I would, but I don't know anything about it and when I went to register it asked me for my full name and school I attend. Isn't that setting me up for insecurity?

My questions are, is this site safe? Ans what is it, really?

Facebook is amazing. and it is DEFINITELY safer than Myspace.
The only people who see your profile are people in the same network as you (which is your school and/or your region).
Plus, you can set privacy settings so even some people in your network see a limited profile.

It's very addicting and I love it.

Ally (AllyGirlie), and Claire (DaisyMae26), and I are all friends on there! It's awesome! To me, it proves the validity of people on here...like I don't NEED that...but it helps.

No, I knew that when I registered lol...I was kind of being sarcastic in my post...thus the " " smilie lol.

I made my profile so incredibly private!! rofl.
