Facebook Newsfeed Posting Question, Please Help

Hi.

I post pictures of my grandson on my FB newsfeed; however, I don't need to always have people
comment or feel like they need to comment.

Is there a way I can post on my FB newsfeed and turn off comments? I see I can turn off notifications but
I cannot turn off comments, which is what I would like to do when I post a picture/text.

If you don't want comments you can just make the post private to you. Then others won't see it at all.

I don't know know that you can turn off comments when you post things on your personal page - I think that might only be in groups.

Are people posting rude things on your pictures? Is that why you want to to turn them off?

I’m not an expert, I use Facebook more for the community groups to know what’s going on than to tell the world about my life. However, I don’t think you can turn comments off. If people are making rude/annoying comments on your posts just block them. Otherwise the only way to prevent comments on posts/pictures is to not make posts.

I think you can delete comments on your post, so if you don’t like the comments, delete them.

No, my friends are super kind but I post little stories with my grandson (who is a baby) being the one that is posting with little funny stories. My friends always respond but I don't want them to have to feel they have to say something kind, etc.
I would just like to post it, they can read if they want (or not) and move on. They don't have to feel the need to comment.
I'm guessing this cannot be done. Thank you anyway.
