Do you guys have one for your area's?

I have started selling the kids old clothes and toys on my local Facebook Mommy Market and I've been putting the money into the Disney Fund. I've also bought some new/used clothes on them and saved some money.

If you haven't you should check your local page out...or start one

Yes! There are a lot in my area. I've had some really good success buying & selling.

i've tried this, both on a local "yard sale" page and on an "upscale" exchange page. was trying to sell DD's semi-formal dresses. both gorgeous, and only worn once. neither one sold, even though the prices were rock-bottom.

but, let someone put a half-used bottle of perfume or a butt-ugly figurine, set of dishes or vase that looks like it crawled straight out of 1972, and the bidders are all over it. i just don't understand the gotta-have-it-if-it's-half-used-and/or-hopelessly-ugly mentality, i guess.

Ours doesn't sell stuff like that, thank goodness. There was some lingerie on there once I was like ewww that is weird!

What's a mommy market? I'm in the Denver/Boulder area and I'm trying to find something on facebook with no luck. I'm not really sure what this is - can you enlighten me? Thanks!

It's basically just a Facebook page that someone makes. I belong to 3 since I live close to 3 small towns. There are seperate photo albums that people can post things for sale.

Here's an example of a few different albums on ours:

Baby Furniture, Girls Clothes 0-6 months, Girls Clothes 9-12 monthes, Children's shoes, sporting equipment, Video Games, DVD's etc..... Members can then list what they want to sell or look for whatever they want to buy.

It's kind of like Craiglist I guess except on Facebook.

I like this idea but I don't think there are any in my area. I've been searching on face book for Mommy Market but I only see one city. I'm definitely going to keep my eye out to see if any pop up. Thanks!
