Can I make it so that certain people's status updates don't show up on my "Home" page? I don't want to unfriend them but they are not close friends and are prolific users and I really don't need to know everytime they change a diaper or get a snack and what every else they are doing and all the comments from their 287 friends when they do post.


I see that I can make posts not show up on the newsfeed when I send a friend request but they are already on my friend list. I have been searching Facebook for 2 days and see stuff about "unhiding" friends but can't figure out how to hide them in the first place!

I also see the whole lists thing but this is just 2 or 3 people-- I really don't need lists.

I'm fairly new to facebook myself BUT believe there is a "hide" feature to the right of everyone's posts.

Yep ^^

On your home page, find someone whose posts you don't want to see. Move your mouse so that the cursor is somewhere in that person's post or on his/her name. A "hide" option will pop up to the right of the post.

It's not there automatically... you have to hover the cursor around so that it pops up

I have been trying to figure this out for 2 days and it was that easy! I never noticed that there before!

LOL! Believe me, I am glad those diapers get changed, I just don't need to read about it! You know those first time mom's that have to tell you EVERYTHING. . .

I feel like such a dope. I can't belive it was right in front of my eyes and that easy.

Dont know why I didnt think of that... I have a few people that write down everything... I mean EVERYTHING! I dont care to know when they are making dinner, or heading out, or out of toilet paper

I personally love the people who post that they are SOOOO busy. If you're so busy you shouldn't be posting on facebook all day
