Facebook Etiquette

Hope OP doesn't mind me asking a question of others on her thread... once you friend someone, how do you block your others friends from seeing what first friend posts? I friended someone from high school (female) who has taken to posting the raunchiest things. I don't want others I'm friends with to see the stuff she posts. I posts are, in general, on her particular page. Does that mean that others I'm friends with can't see it, or can they? HELP!

Do you mean responses to your wall posts or to her original wall posts/status?

If she is posting things that are embarrassing on her wall(not responding to something you have written) the only friends of yours that will see it are the ones that you have in common.

That's a relief. I really don't know why I just don't "unfriend" her. She's nice enough and has never posted anything inappropriate to me, but holy moley, the stuff she posts on her page is :scared1:

So you don't want your friends to click on her profile from your page&see what she posts is what you're saying?
If that's the case, then it all depends on whether her profile is private or not. Say if she wrote on your wall, your friends could technically click on her name & go to her page and see everything if it's not private.
I don't think you can block that from happening.

I've friend'ed people in the middle of the night, so I can be nosey and look through their pictures, and then I unfriend them.

I have no Facebook etiquette. ;)

:rotfl: :lmao: that is so funny. Hey at least your honest. I have unfriended after I decided I didn't want them seeing what I write on my wall.

I have a similar problem. My BIL's Fiance is kind of a skank and i don't like the comments she write on my wall or my kids pics for that matter. I would love to unfriend her but don't want to hurt feelings. I have had to delet some of her comments though. I only add people I know well to begin with. A few of the other class moms at school I don't want to know my business. guess I better figure out how to work that privacy setting :goodvibes.

I turn people away all the time. People "I" don't know... but are sent from someone else....
I don't think you have to "friend" everyone...
