FaceBook app - how to remove?

I've heard the new rate your fan app is a virus even if you're just tagged- how do you get rid of it if youve never added it? I've been tagged numerous times - so I'd like to keep from getting another virus...what do I do

Bumping...I'd like to know too...I've never used it, but have been tagged several times. I logged off of facebook as soon as I heard about it, but I'm afraid it might be too late.

Go to "edit applications" on FB to remove this app.

Didn't look at the link yet - but I don't have the app added - I've just been tagged - and supposedly even if you've been tagged wheter or not you've added the app you'll get the virus.... I looked under edit apps & it doesn't show up there

I've been seeing this all over FB today too, but I'm skeptical because I added it over a week ago and haven't had any problems. Not sure where that status started....can't find anything on Snopes yet either.

When something like that spreads like wildfire, it's generally NOT true!

I just untagged myself on the photos I was tagged on.


You can remove apps you have installed under Application Settings under the settings tab.

It's not a virus, it's a hoax. No need to worry. Most of these things are not really viruses but all the googling and searching we do to find out about them usually lead to some!!

I saw someone on FB say it is on Snopes and it's NOT true. The only thing I did was delete any posts on my page saying I was on their list. I'm not too concerned about it.
