Facebook account disabled

Has anyone every had their facebook account disabled? When I tried to sign into my account today it came back saying my account was disabled. When I checked out the frequently asked questions "why was my account disabled?" I don't believe I violated any of the rules. I sent them an e-mail asking why and I am waiting to hear back. I just wondered if anyone else every had any problems with their account. I rarely even post, I look at it most every day to see what my friends are up to but thats all.

This kind of worries me. I was afraid maybe someone hacked my account. I guess I will just have to wait and hear from them.

Oh sorry, I just saw there is another post about this same issue. Ok, now I feel better that I know I'm not alone with this problem.

This happened to me too. There was some kind of glitch on Facebook. My account was enabled a short time ago. If you Google it you can find more info. Try logging in again and see if it's fixed.

happened to my son, sent an e-mail to facebook, and it was fixed.

My account was disabled all day. (Basically, I didn't exist on Facebook-- DH was no longer married to anyone and all pictures I had tagged him in and any comments of mine were gone.)

Just a little while ago, I could log into my account with no problems and everything was back to normal.

My niece did. Apparently, she has the same name as some minor "celebrity" that I've never heard of.

Yes, there was a "bug" in the system that disabled accounts that shouldn't have been disabled, and it was the part of the system that deals with fake-name accounts. Supposedly FB will notify people that this happened to, but my account was restored and I still got a message from FB saying that the decision to disable my account was "final."

What bothered me about this whole thing was that (1) FB said that in order to restore the account they would require a photo ID to prove my identity (I did NOT do that) and (2) I couldn't access the photos I had uploaded when the account was disabled. So from now on, when I post a photo, I'm only going to leave it up for a little while and then delete it.
