Does anybody know the face value for the Half Board vouchers (I am interested in the Premium vouchers in particular) or know a link to somewhere that has this info?

Thanks Jo - I've booked HB Premium vouchers, but I might be better off using them at face value (especially if I get some shares and get shareholder discount) and then stretch them to be used for an extra meal perhaps.

I'm sure i've read somewhere that you can't combine the shareholders discount with the vouchers.

I had read that too because I decided it wouldn't be worth us buying any shares for this trip because we have got half board vouchers and shares are very expensive at the moment.

I think its very much down to the individual restaurant (even the individual waiter/manager :confused3) whether you can use shareholders discount with half board vouchers to pay for a meal.
As the half board vouchers don't actually save you any money (or a miniscule amount, certainly nowhere near the 15% straight discount you get with shareholders club), if you prefer to budget for your meals in advance, could you put the amount you would pay to half board vouchers on a pre-pay credit card instead, to use that at DLP?

I think we may do this next time. On our last couple of trips we have loved having the vouchers but this time it seems to have made planning a bit more difficult. I have already told DH I want shares for christmas:rotfl:

I too have already purchased the vouchers (starting to think that was a mistake now).

I've looked at the terms and conditions of the Shareholders Card, and it says you can't use the discount to buy meal vouchers, and can't be combined with other offers. However, the vouchers can't really be classified as an 'offer' as such, because they don't really seem to be saving you much money (if any) in some restaurants.

I have sent the shareholders club an email asking for some clarification on this, and will hold off buying my shares until I get a response.

Just had official confirmation back that you can't get shareholders discount, then pay the balance with vouchers at face value.
