A friend of mine is going to WDW in September with her family for their first trip the same week we are going. We are planning on going to MNSSHP the same night. She asked me if it was possible to get her girls faces painted in the parks before the party and for the life of me I can't recall seeing any face painting places during our last trip but figured it there were any, someone here would know. TIA!!

Yes, they do! My DS4 did this last October, twice. We found a place that was set up in ToonTown, I think right next to the Barnstormer. He got his face painted like Simba

My DH and DS also did it in DHS on the Streets of America. They both had their faces painted with black dragons.

They did a great job!

Thanks!! That will make her very happy. Now I'll just have to keep my kids away while hers are doing it :rolleyes1

One time I let my DD get her face painted at the Boardwalk and I'll never do it again. Of course my DD's are are 12 and 15 now so they won't want to do it anyway. She got hot and sweatty and ended up with face paint all over her clothes, in her hair, everywhere. It was a big mess!

If the kids have never had their faces painted before, you might want to paint them at home and try out how they will tolerate it.

We had my daughter's face painted for MHSSHP, before we went to the park. We were staying at Vero Beach and it was free. We never even made it to the parks and we had to pull over and wash it off in a Mcdonalds restroom. She said the paint made her face itch. I was just glad I had not paid for it.

Just wanted to let you know that I got my daughter's face painted at Animal Kingdom and it was great. It was a really hot day and it didn't even run while she was sweaty, it even lasted through a swim in the pool (not going under water of course) She loved it.

That's awesome! Do you remember how much it was?

Also, remember that they do free face painting at MNSSHP. It's not nearly as elaborate as the ones you pay for, but hey, it's free!! They have a "menu" set up with different styles, but DD9 asked if they could paint her face like a raggedyanne doll....she wore a raggedyann costume that night...and they did a beautiful job!! They said they could do anything you wanted as long as it took under 2 minutes...with all the people waiting for free face painting they really have to keep that line moving. I even got a little design on my face, the kids got a big kick out of that!!

My DD had it done earlier this month at AK by Triceratops Spin and it was $12. They ranged from $10 to over $20. It looked great and she loved it but it was pretty much gone by the afternoon. Didn't get on anything but her hand because she kept forgetting and would scratch her nose or something crazy like that.

My daughter had it done last year someplace right outside of the Star Wars ride it was great, she loved it, glitter and all. I think it was under $20.

My DD6 got her's done on our last trip at Epcot in the Africa outpost by CM Jason. It (and Jason) was awesome. She had a cat face done and she loved it. It stayed on all day and when she woke up the next morning only a tiny bit had rubbed off, so she wore it again for another day. She hated taking it off and actually cried when I made her take it off that night so I could wash her face. It cost $20 and was well worth it for her happiness. I will see if I can find a pic of it tonight and post it.

My children had it done in toon town in MK, it did not come off when they touched their faces and I think it was around $15 each

I think it's usually around $15, but if they're wanting to get it done for MNSSHP; they'll do it for free at the park, once it's 7:00. They don't have as many choices, but we thought it was a pretty good variety last year. They have one place set up in Toontown (that's also the place they have it during "regular" hrs.) and they have another one in Adventureland.

There are face painting booths in every park as well as DTD. Face Painting pricing is between $10-$20. My dd 6 gets a new face paint each day. It stays on all day and....
***they do free touch ups if they smudge or wipe off*** :cool1::banana:
We do ours in the morning, usually swim & if get a touch up in the early evening. They do an unbelievable job & the compliments and attention that my daughter get are worth every penny!

We're going for christmas and my girls will love this! $15-$20 sounds pretty reasonable.
