Face mask while at table

Just saw online that Disney is now requiring guests to wear face masks while sitting at the restaurant tables. We always removed ours when at the table, but put it back on when leaving.
I guess it still goes with the actively eating and drinking.

I would guess that you'll just need to keep it on until you get drinks.

That makes sense. We had the same rule when I was living in Ohio last year and from a practical standpoint, the few restaurants that tried to enforce it basically made that their policy.

Nope not doing this. The whole point in booking TS besides enjoying the food was being able to take off the mask and relax. The CMs are wearing face shields. This is dumb.

Yeah, I don't see this being some seismic shift. Probably just cleaning up some loopholes that people were exploiting.

I wonder if people are hanging/lingering around for a while after they’re done eating for extra mask off time and they want to discourage that. Like if you’re done eating, mask back on or move along.

I am hoping we get more clarification. If they want it between bites, we will just have to eat in the room. So the park food would be out.

Someone on Twitter just showed the manager of BOG the report and he said it only applies if you’re waiting to be seated. Said once you’re sitting it’s considered actively eating and drinking. FWIW

I hope this isn’t true. There is no way I’m going to pay $200 for a dinner where I’m replacing my mask between courses. I’ll go to Swan/Dolphin for my next few trips that are already booked.

I was thinking it was either this or they were trying to encourage people to wear masks while their waiter/waitress was at the table to take their order. Would seem like common courtesy but I know how that goes.
