Face Characters

well, to anyone that would happen to be talking about my post(s) of pictures, apparently you did not READ MY POSTS.

None of anything I said should be taken as insulting, because it wasn't.
As I said before I was not judging their character or how they acted, which are the most IMPORTANT factors in my mind. I was simply stating that in MY (not my son's) opinion they did not look like who they were portraying.

I did not say they were not beautiful in their own way, or might not have been better casted as another character, or that they did not do a wonderful job. I SAID THE OPPOSITE. ALL the characters we came accross were WONDERFUL, if not especially the ones I posted pics of.
I NEVER said anything insulting, simply that they did not fit their roles in looks ALONE.
I could never EVER do the job these people do, let alone be so wonderful at it.

If you don't think you said anything wrong, then there's no need to defend previous posts.

I think the worst comments in this thread are comments like 'fugly', 'ugly', 'un-attractive' etc... and some of these comments were accompanied by photos of the face characters. (there was a picture of Ariel, for example, with a not so nice comment)

Some of these face characters on this board. I know that for a fact. I met one, who often plays Cinderella at PSB, 1900 Park Fare and CRT. Can you imgaine how she feels reading these comments? It's such a shame.

Some of these face characters on this board. I know that for a fact. I met one, who often plays Cinderella at PSB, 1900 Park Fare and CRT. Can you imgaine how she feels reading these comments? It's such a shame.

A very close "friend" of our Aurora has read this thread. How sad for her to see fellow DISers writing such nasty comments about her friends and fellow co-workers. She knows we love her dearly and think she's the most beautiful girl in the world, both on the outside and inside!

I know. A very close 'friend' to Cinderella has read it too.

But I hope she and the others who are DISers know that we think they're great and they ARE beautiful inside and out.

For all the DISers deliberately posting pictures of Face Characters to be cruel, you are doing an excellent job of showing us your true colors. I'm sure the Prince and Princesses in your lives would be very proud of your behavior.

No offense to anyone. . . but the more people keep posting, the closer and longer this thread stays at the top giving those "friends" of characters even more chance to see it, rather than just letting the thread die and fade away into the Dis abyss. If you're concerned about certain people seeing these comments, maybe the best thing is to let it die.

I know that there are many people on these boards who are friends or families with face characters - I think it is extremely mean spirited to post pictures of face characters you think are ugly -

sure you might see a character and think they are not right for the part but to come on here and post a picture of them - unbelievable

For those of you posted pictures of CMs you think are ugly - how would you feel if I started a thread that said "Some DISers have the ugliest kids" and then started posting pictures of kids that I think are ugly - I would have a pm box filled with nasty pms - the thread would be deleted and odds are I would be banned from the DIS

well - for those of us who have special memories with face characters, are friends or family of face characters - this thread is the equivalent.

I seriously think the mods should delete this thread and at the very least those of you who posted a picture should remove it -

to those CMs and friends and family reading this thread - I am truly sorry if this thread caused you any pain!

This thread makes me sad!!

Some of you have said that you loved interacting with the face characters but on getting the photographs they didn't look a thing like who they were supposed to be. I am sorry we can't all be perfect!! The interaction and face time is what counts not what your picture looks like after. If they spread pixie dust for you that day then their pictures should bring back those memories not the stupid comments you all are making.

To all the CM's and friends and family out there: Bravo for all the work you do spreading pixie dust around the world!!!

These characters work lots of hours for little pay. They are spreading the Disney pixie dust to make your trips more magical and you are trying to ruin it for the ones who help create the magic. Everybody has their bad days, I am sure you would not like it if I took your picture on a day you were not feeling your best and standing out in the heat.

I am sorry that some of you feel that they do not meet your definition of what a character is supposed to look like. But who has the right to say what a person is supposed to look like if they were originally based off a drawing. I am sure if we lined up lots of pictures, everyone would have a different opinion on who looked most like the characters.

Please think before you post. I know it is hard to do but it will spare so many people from being hurt. If you can't say something nice please don't say nothing at all.

I understand this thread was not started to hurt anyone but I am sure many people have been hurt by this thread. I sure hope they realize that the majority of people do not feel this way.

Thank you to all of the lovely princes, princesses and other face characters who bring magic to so many people as they are enjoying the Disney Magic.

All I can say is Thank Goodness the CM's who dress up in costumes such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Pooh, Tigger and many many that more have the head on aren't being bashed. Oh wait, you would probably wait to catch them out of costume so you could bash them too.
These wonderful people bring joy to anyone they greet. I had a chance to dress up as Tony the Tiger and no one cared what I looked like or how short I was. They just wanted to hug Tony.
We come to WDW for the fantasy. Who cares what they look like.

I can say that many face characters are not a perfect match.
If you want a perfect match.
Read the book, watch the movie.
Just don't step on people that go out of their way
day after day to put smiles on so many faces.
Take a long look @ yourselves 1st.

I know its selfish but I don't want this thread to be deleted, at least not the pictures. Maybe there can be a thread with just the pictures. I've really enjoyed looking at them. I don't have a little princess, but I can hope. I'm sure its amazing to watch the children interact with the face characters. I think my DS is too young now. He doesn't know who there are...yet. My niece is now going to go with us, but I think she's too old to believe

Kimberly - there are a lot of threads here on the DIS that honor the CMs and have positive comments and photos -

why don't you start a thread that asks people to post pictures of their favorite characters - I would love to see a thread like that -

the pictures are not worth the hateful posts that people made about cast members!!

A good friend of mine from high school lives in Orlando and is very good "friends" with some of the princesses mentioned in this thread. Having said that, let me say that this friend of mine is also a DIS lurker and has read this thread. is all I can say.

Please, moderators, lock or delete this horribly hurtful thread. I can't believe that "adults" are acting this way.
