Fabric markers or sharpies for Pillow Cases

Leaving next Friday for our drive down to the Wonder.

Will be shopping for both the fabric markers and pillowcases. Thanks for the tips on which markers to buy.

Now - anyone have any preference as to pillowcases?

Can you get more than one item autographed (tee, pillowcase and mat)?

If so, do I put them in one large ziplock or multi?

I had an 2 11x20 photo mattes and 3 tshirts (1 item per person). I put the tshirts in 2.5 gallon ziplock with the fabric markers and some requests, then put this with the mattes, markers, candy and TY note in a Ziplock XLarge Grand Bag(the one with handles). Guest services fills out a form describing the contents, so it will help if you know how many markers you have.

If you are traveling with others who do not know about this-do items for them and just put their stateroom # on it. Our friends were thrilled with their matte-it was very touching.

Lesson learned-do not use light colored fabric markers-yellow, light purple. You can hardly see the signatures.

I ironed mine last night and will wash today-hopefully they will be ok.

Fabric Mate fabric markers work very well also (I've used them for years). You can get them at JoAnn's in with the puffy paint. You can buy them in a pack (light or dark colors) or loose. JoAnn's also will sometimes have fabric markers in with the kids summer craft stuff.

I've never heat-set in the dryer - I always use a dry iron and take my time and everything's worked out fine.

Another helpful hint: when I have kids sign pillowcases (I often do them for going away rememberances) I have an embroidery hoop that I use to keep the fabric taut

And a couple questions:

Has anyone ever had any problem with the markers bleeding through from the front to the back of the pillowcase? I'm wondering if I should include a piece of cardboard or something.

How many signatures do they do? I'm debating making a plain white pillowcase or one that's got some Disney fabric on one side and reverses to plain white.
