Fab Feb. vacation Day 1-3

The van is packed and the kids arriving home from school. DS 11, DD 8 & DS 5 are ready to go. We travel from Illinois to south of Nashville, grab a hotel and are up the next day to take off early. We make a side trip to Ruby Falls (awesome) in TN and drive on to Gainsville, FL, call the HIFS in Orlando to see if we can check in 1 day early but they are booked so we drive on to Ocala for the night. Up early the next day and head for HIFS in Orlando. Too early to check in so we put in our request and head to Downtown Disney, shop and eat lunch at the Rainforest cafe (no priority seating required if we're willing to each in the lounge area!) Head to Fantasia Gardens to play miniature golf and pass some time. Great course, the kids loved it! Get back to hotel and check in around 4:00. We're in building 7 facing pool and love the suite. Head down for supper, karoke in the activity room and check out the game room. To bed by 10:00 but no one can sleep...Magic Kingdom tomorrow

I found the food to be adequate, not fantastic but no complaints. We had a variety of meals and everything was hot and tasty. I expected a long wait but really it didn't take long and the kids walked around looking at the animals while we waited. I thought at first it was pricy but this was our first restaurant in Orlando and we soon realized it was average in price

My kids ended up driving us nuts with wanting bingo and kareoke every night. Isn't that a great feature. I have never stayed in such a kid friendly hotel, we love it there. You are off to a good start.
