Hi guys:

DW and I just reserved a week at SSR during F&W and I was just wondering what to expect. Neither of us have ever been during this event and as such we need all the advice we can get for what are must sees. Our party consists of Myself, DW, DD 11, and DD 2, so if there are any age appropriate kid stuff that will be helpful as well.

Thanks everybody.

I think most of the events are a little adult - wine tastings and cooking classes. We were there last year and for us, the biggest deal was that WS gets quite crowded with all of the additional food booths. Its a great time to snack your way around the World Showcase and try and little bit of a lot of different food. They set up booths for the cuisine of a lot of countries not represented in Epcot - plus some booths that sell small portions of things that are popular (Le Cellier's beer cheese soup). More drunks than usual, but not overwhelming or terribly misbehaved, just enough that you can notice if you pay attention. There is additional entertainment as well.

In the evenings Epcot will definitely be more crowded. Last year we did F&W 2 afternoons starting right at noon, never had a line up at any booth. Last year I think they had a few kids activities like a Honey exhibit or something.

You can expect to see me wobbling a bit unsteadily from booth to booth in the World Showcase.

One tip for the event; You might want to avoid Epcot from Friday afternoon through Sunday as it tends to get overrun by locals.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I've been know to bend my elbow on occasion are there more beers from around the globe available during the event?

There are enough beers to circle the globe (or at least the World Showcase ;) ).

If the "no charge" for under 3 holds, (just to keep the price reasonable for you) last year they had some Sunday Chocolate events. That may have some appeal. We're going to be there on Sunday the 22nd, and I'm hoping for something like that this year.
