Apparently I will be at DCA during a Food and Wine Weekend. I have never been to Epcot for Food and Wine Festival, so I have nothing to compare it to. :confused3

What can I expect? What kind of foods? How are the prices? Do you munch around and turn it into a meal?

We went to a Lunch & Learn last year. It was very, very good. You watch the chef prepare a meal and you eat each course with a different wine - it lasts a couple of hours. It is all served on fine china with impeccable service. I think it was about $75 each, but we did get a discount with our annual pass. They have events in DCA that are free. We attended a "beet" class one day. The chef made different appetizers from fresh beets and we got free samples along with a bottle of water and paper and pencil. They do fill up and I remember waiting in the hot sun to be seated for about 40 minutes. We also attended a wine tasting seminar that was quite informative and well worth the time. They also sell many (food & wine) samples by the Bread factory, and most were tasty but we thought overpriced at $4-$5 each. We really enjoyed the weekend. We actually spent very little time in DL that weekend as everything was at DCA (except the L&L which was in a ballroom at the DL Hotel, I think). Sorry to ramble so long! I am looking forward to the event schedule which according to a CM at Disney Dining, will be posted Friday, 2/23.

It was definitely not on the same scale as WDW F&W. Actually last year they didnt' really advertise it all that well and turn out was decent but not busy! There were a few offerings, but I don't think it's like WDW where you can just eat different stations throughout the park!!There were a few but nothing on a large scale.

Hopefully they will kick it up a notch and turn it into an event!!

The schedule for this year's Food and Wine weekends is now available on Disney's web site: http://disneysfoodandwineweekends.com

Looks like they've added a "Party for the Senses" type event for AP holders, but otherwise it appears there are fewer events this year - no Lunch and Learns, which I find disappointing. :-( There's another set of "free" events with emphasis on health, though.

According to the web site, event reservations can be made on March 5.

Thanks for the link, Scooter! :thumbsup2
