Does anyone know if the History of Beer in America includes tasting?;)
And is this something that can be pre-booked or do we have to do it when we get there?

TIA

Last year the history of beer in america did indeed include a tasting ;) It was a sample of 4 sam addams beers and they gave you a niffty Sam Addams bottle opener/key chain! You don't need to sign up and as we found out- you can go as often as you want! ;) DH is a huge Sam Addams fan, and I seriously had to tear him away so we could go do something else other than drink beer!

I have some pics, let me find them and I'll post them.

Here is the placemat where they put the beer samples. The types of beer samples are listed and explained. They were 8 oz cups filled up betweena 1/4 and 1/2 of the way.

Here is the bar set up that they had- and DH is using his bottle opener/keychain to (pretend) crack open a cold Sam Addams

It has featured tastings in past years. (That said - it won't be known whether this year will be the same or different until the festival opens)

Candle on the Water posted some great ambiance pics. I'll post pics of the samples I was served:

There you go. Not much. :) Enough that they'd fill one cup, though.

I fell in love with that 12th anniversary beer! It was sooo good I kept asking if they would sell be some bottles or something, but nope! Cant wait to be back this year and try #13!

Anybody else want to go back to Disneyland for some Karl Strauss??

You can buy a whole cup of the Sam Adams beers (including the festival one) at the Sam Adams booth. Or at least you could every year up to this one.

You could buy every beer in the tasting at sam adams booth yes! They had at least 5 diffrent beers on tap! I just wish they had the festival one in bottles so I could have taken it home or at least back to my rom!

Me me me me me! Pick me! At least they had a better presentation:

Although they did shortchange me a little on the pour, it was still pretty darn good. Between this, the quality of the food samples I tried, and the free big honkin' pieces of cheese, the DL festival is looking better and better.
