F&W Info

Looks like the F&W info is starting to come out, and unless Allears has it wrong, it shoudl all be available earlier than in years past.

Festival details will be available by late July at www.disneyworld.com/foodandwine, and guests can book special events and programs beginning Aug. 11.

Looks like it will be in Wonders of Life again. I won't be attending any events costing more than $100 that are held in an open space in the pavilion cordoned off by potted palm trees. That was not a pleasant experience.

Assuming they have such events again. I think this year (and this is a guess) it might be down to Party for the Senses, similar large-capacity events held in the World Showplace, and the Sweet Sundays. They do mention the wine schools and will probably get sig dinners at Victoria & Alberts and probably Bluezoo (because Bluezoo isn't a Disney restaurant)

No specific mention of the Vertical Tastings here.

I hope this allears is right. Last year New Orleans was "featured" and the food was great. Surprised they are coming back two years in a row. Also, kept seeing a mix for beignets and didn't want to carry it around (should of sent it back to the resort). During our 10 day trip I think we hit the F&W at least 7 times and when I finally went to buy it they were sold out! This year I am not waiting.

I was thinking the same thing, but they also listed Bangkok and I don't think they were featured last year...hope there is good Thai food!!

That's right, don't wait!

I am always looking for retired teas at the Twinings shop and last year or the year before (I forget which), they brought back their Vanilla and Coconut tea--the shop personnel told me it was brought out JUST for the Food and Wine Festival! I bought up all the boxes that were left (about 8) and I don't think the shop ever stocked anymore, because I came back to the Festival a couple more times and the tea never reappeared!
