Hi, This will be my mom and I's first F&W :cool1: and we're not doing any special events but are really excited for the booths. I'm interested to see what others have enjoyed from year's past, but what I'm most looking forward to is no doubt boring, the sausage with sweet corn polenta in Canada and the pierogies in Poland. And the brewer's selection, I'm going to have to look up those beers but that usually means they'll be fun to try if I haven't heard of them before. :yay:

Seared Barramundi with Blistered Cherry Tomatoes Arugula, and Lemon Oil
Cheese Fondue with Croutons and Roasted Potatoes
Pastel de Choclo
Black Pepper Shrimp with Sichuan Noodles
Strawberry Angel Verrine
Pear Streusel Pudding Cake
Dark Chocolate Sensation
Creme Brulee au Chocolate au Lait
Spanakopita
Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie
Seared Sea Scallop with Vegetable Slaw and Lemon Oil
Shrimp Cake with Singapore Noodle Salad
Flavors of Africa (Salad, Bread, and Spreads)

The spanakopita and fisherman's pie are repeats for me, that I loved last year, the rest are new, (at least to me,) that I really want to try.

Does anyone know exactly what "Dark Chocolate Sensation" is?

It certainly sounds yummy...

WOW I'm Glad you started this, I will be putting many targets here last week in October, I got to print this list.

Hops and Barley
Boston style Crab Cake with Cabbage Slaw and Remoulade

Samuel Adams Beers: Boston Lager, Octoberfest, Cherry Wheat, 15th Anniversary Festival Beer Coastal Wheat Light, Cream Stout, Blackberry Witbier, Latitude 48 IPA

Puerto Rico

Bacardi Frozen Lemon Mojito

Argentina
Roasted Corn and Cheese Empanda
Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Puree
Bodega Norton Reserva Malbec
Bodega Norton Cosecha Tardia
Kaiden Cabernet
Pasual Toso Torontes

I am highlighting blue the item in each country / region I want to try or repeat. While I like empanadas, I missed this beef item last year and want to try it.

Australia
Seared Barramundi with Blistered Cherry Tomatoes Arugula, and Lemon Oil
Grilled Lamp Chop with Roasted Potato Salad and Red Wine Reduction
Lamington (sponge cake dipped in chocolate)
Rosemount Traminer Riesling
Marquis Phillips Shiraz
Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet
Nugan Estate Riverina Chardonnay

I liked both of these, but my fish had a bit too much lemon oil last year.
I probably can see myself repeating them.

NEW-Belgium
Steamed Mussels with Roasted Garlic Cream
Freshly Baked Waffles with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream

Stella Artois
Godiva Chocolate Ice Coffee
Leffe
Hoegaarden

Definitely want to try Belgium because it's new this year. Can't pass up a waffle, and I like mussels.

Brazil
Grilled Pork Skewer with Farofa
Shrimp Stew with Coconut and Lime

Pecan Bread Pudding

I didn't have this last year, so I'll try it.

Plan on trying almost every offering except the alcoholic beverages and sharing them with a group as we around the WS over a coupla days....again.

We eat from Left to Right the first day,Right to Left the second and get anything that must be done again either after we finish or day three.

I usually come in through the International Gateway and just walk around trying whatever catches my eye. I especially like Ireland's Hot Chocolate Lava Cake with the Bailey's Cream Ganache and then there's the Bread Pudding with Pecan's. Now, I'm really hoping that this pudding is half as good as the Praline Bread Pudding from Lousiana last year. Unfortunately I don't see it on the menu for this year.

i was disappointed in the crab cake and lobster roll last year
looking forward to lava cake at ireland
short ribs at france

Well, I certainly hope I can use my snack credits this year...I will need at least 26!!! We are going for 14 nights, only a couple of which fall during F&W, so I'll try to save at least 2 per day(out of our 8 per day total...4 people).

I might have to save more than that, because I'm not sure what half the items are, but when I see them...I'm going to be..YES!!!...bring it on!!!

I wonder when we will find out if snack credits are allowed. I think last year you didn't find out till the start of the festival.

Oh my, that Praline Bread Pudding last year was soooooooooo good:):):) I was disappointed not to see it either.

I downloaded this list the other day. DH and I highlighted each item we want to try - we had almost 50 items! So, I can't wait to read the reviews before we go in Nov, because we have to pare down the list. We will only have 16 snack credits to use for our long weekend trip.

I booked our trip last week and was told by the CM that snack credits will be allowed to be used at the festival!!

My only must-have: ICE WINE!!;)

One of these days I'm going to try and make it. I have the recipe; got it off of AllEars.Net. But I just don't think it'll be the same eating it in NY instead of WDW! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

But I will try the Pecan Bread Pudding that's at the Hops and Barley stand; well I think that's where it is....;)

I wonder when we will find out if snack credits are allowed. I think last year you didn't find out till the start of the festival.

Yea, last year there was no official announcement that snack credits could be used. We didn't find anything out until we actually had members GO to the festival and they reported back that the logo was on the menus. Until that point it was still a question. They have allowed them in the past, but I would always have a backup plan and way to pay for things. At least, until we get on hand information.

I would like one of each please! :rotfl: I wish I was going this year. I was supposed to go this year, but now can not. Makes me sad... stupid school! :lmao: Oh well, be sure to write about your experiences everyone! That way I can attend vicariously through everyone else.

There are quite a few items on the list I want to try. Got to have the snails (DH won't eat them so that is the only time I ever get them) and I heard the Fisherman's Pie at Ireland was good. Last year I had some lamb that was excellent. I can't remember which booth.

I've gotten a little more adventurous over the years & I try to find something at each booth to taste. I don't care for Asian cuisine at all, the smell of it cooking makes me nauseous, so I tend to skip China, Japan and similar booths. I guess I might have to at least buy a bottle of water at those booths so I can get my passport stamped though. I've never tried any of the African foods before but one of the items caught my eye on this years list. SO there is at least one item at most booths that I will be trying this year. A few of those frozen drinks sound really yummy.

Ah yes; the frozen drinks. I keep hearing about these "slushes" from France. I must try one. Last year I got hooked on the frozen Margaritas with my SIL and this year I want to try something new. :thumbsup2

After looking at that list, all I can say is... Yes, Please!

Hmmm... now where are my fat pants? :rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

On a more serious note, will all of these items be available every day during the festival? Or do they rotate the menu? This is our first trip, and it's during Food and Wine... I'm SO excited!! :yay:
