There has been info on non-WDW sites that they will not be serving alcohol with the culinary demo as in years past. Has anyone done a culinary demo and confirm if there is a wine pairing or not this year? thank you

I am curious as well. I have my first one booked for Friday and wanted to find out. I have actually found wines I like through these in the past. If the wine pairing is cut, it may be the last year I schedule any of the demos. Raise the price and cut out half of the presentation. Not good customer service. I remember when the demos were free and I got shut out of a few because I didn't want to spend the time waiting in line.

It was confirmed - can't remember if I saw it in a separate thread or within the larger F&W thread but has been reported that only a pitcher(s) of ice water on the table.

Thanks. I wish we had been told up front so we could make an informed decision before purchasing what is now an overpriced experience.

That just seems so cheap. Has anyone there been at a table where some people were finding out for the first time when they got there? We're pretty knowledgeable here, but I'm wondering how many people get there and are shocked, and what the reaction has been.

The "Wine" portion of "Food and Wine" is greatly oversold at this entire festival. There is no real focus on wine beyond sub-$15 bottles that you can buy at any Publix. It might be time to remove the word "Wine" from the name of the event. Indeed, there is a greater focus on craft brews than there is on wine. Not that this is a problem, mind you. But luring people to the event with the expectation that there will be a serious wine focus is beyond misleading at this point. Small, expensive pours of supermarket wines into plastic cups hardly qualifies as a "Wine" event in my book.
