Hey all. I'm looking forward to trying 1 thing from each Kiosk at the F&W festival. There will be 6 of us sharing a taste of each thing so we won't fill up that quickly, and we'll most likely be going to Epcot 3 days.

So what's the best thing from each Kiosk?

It varies greatly based on your own tastes- I don't like garlic or onions so that make a difference in what I like as opposed to my husband. I will also say that there will be things (like the cake in Ireland) where there is no way 6 of you will get a taste from 1 item.

My favorties this year have been: beef tenderloin in South Africa, canoli for Italy, Fisherman's Pie from Ireland, white chocolate mousse from desserts (but the trio is a better deal if you want to try at least 2 items- its items are the same size), and the glumpki from Poland. My husband love the pork dish from Korea (but he lived there a few years and love there food anyway).

Thanks for your feedback. That's pretty much what I'm looking for... peoples favorites. I love the Fisherman's pie too (that's the one with lobster in it right?) When I look for what to order, some of the things you've mentioned will stand out so I appreciate it.

I haven't been yet this year but we will be arriving tomorrow. From years past some of my favorites include:

Lamb Slider - New Zealand (don't know about the combo they have this year though)
Grilled Lamb Chop, Shrimp - Australia
Beef Empanada & Beef Skewer - Argentina
Everything at the Ireland Booth
Cheddar Cheese Soup - Canada
Waffle - Belgium
Sausage in Pretzel Roll & Apple Strudel - Germany.

Most of the items aren't big enough for more than 2 people to share. The dessert trio could probably be shared by 6 if each item was split between two. I personally usually avoid the Asian booths as I don't care for that type of food.

This year I'm looking forward to trying some of the new items such as the Coq au Vin, Pastel de Nata, Cheese Fondue, both Taco's in Mexico, this year's Dessert Trio and the Pumpkin Mousse. I'll probably try some of the other new items too but I try to avoid the spicy stuff, raw fish & salmon. I may try the new Lobster offerings. I would have liked to try the combo in Scandinavia but not with the herring, maybe I'll get the Swedish Meatball. Portugal I'll probably just try one or two of the wines with the pastry as neither of the food items seem appealing to me. Not sure about Morocco. I liked the lemon chicken dish they used to offer, not big on the Pita Pockets. And the Cheese thing in Greece sounds interesting.

Some of my faves:

Pork slider from Hawaii
Beef skewer from Argentina
Swedish meatballs from Scandinavia
Filet of beef from South Africa
Cannoli from Italy
Lamb chop and lamington from Australia
Shrimp cake from Singapore
Lamb slider from New Zealand
Griddled cheese from Greece

I have to say though, on many of those you won't be able to get a taste for 6 people out of one sample.

enjoy!

Sadly, we were on the DxDP and were pretty full the entire trip. That's okay, it gives us an excuse for a trip this time next year. My favs that we sampled:

Argentia - grilled beef skewer
Caribbean - frozen rock coconut mojito
South Korea - boolgogi BBQ beef
France - creme brulee au chocolat au lait
Australia - shrimp on the barbie (hubby's fav besides my boolgogi)

I loved the Fisherman's Pie from Ireland (so much seafood!) and the mimosa from Morocco!

If six people share each sampler, at least three will not have a bite.

France -- Coq au Vin, Cosmo slushie
Morocco -- Beef pita
Germany -- Sausage roll
China -- Potstickers
Australia -- Lamb chop
Belgium -- Waffle
Japan -- Salmon/tuna sensation
Hawaii -- Tuna seaweed salad
Caribbean -- Coconut frozen mojito

Just back from last weekend - our favorites included:

Canada - Chicken Chipotle Sausage with Sweet Corn Polenta
Hawaii - Kalua Pork Slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise and Kona Longboard Lager
Argentina - Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Purée
Australia - Grilled Lamb Chop with Potato-Goat Cheese Salad and Shiraz Reduction
Mexico - Rib-eye Taco and Shrimp Taco

I wish I could walk out of my house right now and head to one of these countries and get a quick snack!

If need be, we'll buy another so everyone can taste.

Thanks for the feeback all. We're leaving tomorrow so I'm jotting these down on my phone's notpad so I won't forget!
